This restaurant has a very interesting food concept with a mix of Indian, Russian, French etc cuisine because this restaurant was established during the Eight-Nation Alliance period in China since 1928. It is also a three generation restaurant bringing lots of lovely memories

My favorite dishes:
- The dry prawns Madras Curry is delicious 😋
- Sunday Roast
- Alaska
- Any steak

Service: staff is a bit layback
Ambience: classic old British style

Great food. Reasonable prices. The staff really goes out of their way to make sure you are at home and treated like family. My Dad cane here 40 and 50 years ago. That should tell you something. When I told them that, they said, "oh sure, I remember him." LOL.

Old favourite , traditional colonial dishes abound in a tavern like atmosphere with red checked table cloths and waiters who look like they have been there for generations . The oxtail stew, shepard’s pie and roasts are stand outs

Eating at Jimmy’s is certainly an experience. When you walk in it’s like you’ve stepped back in time to the 1970s, and the other clientele look like they have been there for that long. The service staff are certainly friendly as they wonder around the dimly lit room like characters out of a David Lynch film. The food was a little less inspiring; we went for the daily roast special that was pork that day. Unfortunately the crackling had run out so the flaccid pork looked somewhat lonely and forlorn on its well-worn plate flanked by nearly-raw potatoes. Our gaze wondered longingly elsewhere and we spotted that if you order a curry you get a poppadum platter pedestal with a selection of condiments, we were enticed by this so ordered poppadums. Unfortunately you don’t get the condiment wheel unless you actually get a curry, but since we got the poppadum’s on the house so we didn’t complain.

Worth a visit if you've got time if only for the trapped-in-time ambiance. For gastronomy head elsewhere.

Service is slow. I'm going to lead with that.
Food was good. Steak was perfectly cooked and tender. Had the ribeye with peppercorn sauce. The mashed potatoes were also really good. There's something about them that I can't place but they were very creamy and smooth. Wine selection is good and pretty much on par with most high end restaurants in central. Would recommend and go again when I'm in the area again.

By far the best home style cooking in HK. My grandparents and mother came here for years in the 1970’s and 80’s. It was my first time here and I was beyond impressed with their cooking. The waiters were very genuine and attentive. The chicken kiev and french onion soup were my favorite!
