Hugely appreciate hairstylist’s good skills, also he will not strike any unnecessary conversation which is entirely what I would prefer, and I mean it.

The girl who helped washing my hair is gentle but with strong fingers when massaging my head. Felt comfortable too.

Service and quality exceeded my expectation. I booked at late night and still managed to get hair cut in literally the same day.

    Thank you very much.

I did not mean to give a 2 star. I never patronised this salon. I googled it earlier and later I was prompted numerous times to give comments. Very irritating! While trying to get rid of the prompt, probably I accidentally pressed 2-star. Sorry about that.

Staff were professional and courteous. Skills and design were top notch. However, customers attending may have felt too much at home and eased their regards to respect others on social hygiene courtesy, especially in times of the lazing covid-19 pandemic. While Ichirin made their points clearly advertised on their website that they will take every precaution to keep their premises disinfected and masks available so that their stylists will safeguard your wellbeing but attending clients may not always reciprocate this action to their service providers. Upon arrival, I noticed most of the guidelines for hair salons recommended by the Centre of Health Protection were followed: all staff wore a mask, disinfection supplies were available, et al. yet it wasn't an absolute requirement to enforce it on their clients. This was in contradictions to Section II.B.c. "All clients need to wear surgical mask as far as feasible. It is recommended to defer those procedures when surgical mask cannot be properly worn during the procedure." Given that the working distance is quite close and an average distance between cutting stations does not meet the recommended social distance guidelines, everything just seemed wrong to see their stylists subdued to serving those clients who do not mask. They were even chatty when blow drying their hair. It was an awful sight to witness. Although there were no proven cases where hair salons are high risk service sectors, but it is sad to see this front line profession needing to always commit to client satisfaction over their own health and safety welbeing. The staff always try their best to keep customer's preference their first priority but it was hard to understand why they need to sacrifice their own safety for those who are inconsiderate of their work. Their willingness to keep their business open to serve all clients, irrespective of travel or health history, even during these special times shows how hard working their team is. Even grocery stores have signs up requesting an awareness for people to please wear a mask to protect their clerks. The haircut itself maintained its high standards but it'll be an eventual outbreak hub if attending clients don't boost up their awareness. The hypochlorous acid mist machine cannot work its magic if at any given time, there were 50% or more clients who does not wear a mask. Hope they survive through and applaud to their professional staff for braving it, without complaints, still serving those not compliant with the new social norms. Management may want to consider setting aside a special quiet section for certain hours of the day (perhaps during their down times) for clients who are more sensitively "germophobic" and everyone attending will need to compile with basic mask wear, minimal small chats throughout their appointment while rest of the scheduling remains open to all?
