OMG. Every bun - pineapple, butter, cake, etc, egg tart was delicious. Must visit if you like baked buns. Still dreaming about this place!

A very old school and unassuming bakery shop that has conveyed to me the best chicken pie crust ever. I normally do not like crust and hence dislike pies in general, this being an extreme exception. I think it must be the copious amounts of lard and butter that make this crust so so crisp and fragrant and delectable in many ways. Even the simple sweet potato bread made me feel like i was floating while I was eating it and crossing the roads between the streets after my purchase. Probably escaped being run over by traffic. Happy Cake Shop has made me so happy

Saw lots of school kids queuing to buy from this shop, so I guessed it is worth a try. I was not disappointing. Superbly tasty egg tart. Good textures of the egg custard and nice crispy pastry to go with it. Would have definitely gone back for seconds if I was not already full after a heavy breakfast.

You can tell everything on the shelves and in cases is so fresh. It was warm and there were people coming in and out of the small stall for the 15 minutes I was standing around. The workers (maybe owners) didn't speak a lot of English but pointing at a pastry would be enough and they can usually tell you the main ingredient in the pastry for the non-Cantonese speakers.

Old style traditional bakery with decent prices. We bought a raisin twist bread, two sponge cakes and two sponge roll slices and it only cost $26. Tastewise, they were quite good too.

It's one of the oldest bakeshops in HK. Located in Wan Chai. They made traditional cakes and breads for affordable prices. Love to eat the old wife cake.

Happy Cake Shop makes locals happy!
I highly recommend Chicken Pie (HKD6) and Mexico Bun. You can taste a creamy sauce with onion and bacon in the pie.
Mexico Bun is another top-selling item. It has crispy crust on the top, very yummy!
