Very caring vets who seem to genuinely want the best for your pets. I initially had some concerns about the number of tests and medication my cat needed, but found the vets very willing to answer my questions and listen to my concerns.

Bring a chair pillow - the built-in.wooden seats are hard. The reception was certainly not built for comfort.but having said that, I know the owners and they have been looking after my dogs since 2001.

Professional, Caring, and Efficient. The East Island Animal Hospital was recommended to me by a friend. My cat has been feeling ill for a couple days now and was not urinating. After explaining to them on the phone, they immediately booked us in to check on the cat. My cat is very aggressive when strangers try to touch him but the vets and the nurses at the East Island Animal Hospital was extremely understanding and careful with him. They diagnosed him in the most efficient manner and immediately explained the options we have with treating him. He was in need of an emergency surgery due to a blocked bladder but the vet was so assertive and knowledgable that I felt 100% at ease to allow them to do this.

I have struggled for many years to find a veterinary centre in HK where they actually put animals first rather than money. Earlier this day, we went to a different vet who refused to see my cat unless he was sedated and was asked to come back the next day. However, in hindsight, if my cat was left along for another day, he could've died.

East Island Animal Hospital gives you a call every morning to update you on your cat's progress and is very thorough with their explanation and can see that they do put your animal's wellbeing as a first priority. They also do not push any unnecessary medication or operations to leech money off you even if you are an expat.

Thank you so much to the vets and the nurses at the East Island Animal Hospital. You saved my cat's life and I cannot thank you enough from the bottom of my heart.

At an expected level: Kei (trainee) at Reception, Dr Vivian, Joseph

The RUDEST & the most unprofessional I've encountered in recent years: VA Phoebe

During the consultation, Dr Vivian & I were discussing the symptoms & possible cause, etc. Phoebe intercepted BLUNTLY by saying "LET THE DR FINISH DIAGNOSING FIRST!!" Fine, but I really was not interrupting with the Dr's assessing at all, Madam Phoebe.

At the end of it, Dr asked if prescriptions were needed. I guess I was really only thinking for like 1-2 secs or so, but that RUDE Phoebe repeated what the Dr just said, IN THE SAME LANGUAGE, of course also in a very extremely bad tone, sounding like I didn't get it. This time I had no choice, but to explain to her that I did in fact understand the dialogue, & I was about to ask the Dr to give me her recommendations, which she should have done anyways without having to ask me.

How can a junior staff, like this VA/ Madam Phoebe, be so so so rude to a paying client?

    👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The most professional and friendliest animal hospital there is on the island (if not the whole of Hong Kong)
