Such smooth, light yet still structured (doesn’t fall apart too easily) and tasty tofu fa. Great for $9 HKD! Nice stop for dessert after visit to Tai Po Wet Market / Cooked Food Centre for their famous fish ball noodle / shrimp roe powder lo mein stalls.

Tasty and silky smooth tofu pudding. Good price. Offers both hot and cold tofu pudding options. I prefer the hot one with brown sugar.

I'm generally not a huge fan but the bean curd custards 豆腐花 here is very smooth and one of the best in the area!

Gotta be earlier next time! I arrived at 6:30pm and the shop lady politely told me that it's sold out! A bit disappointed as the shop is quite faraway from the city, but I will try again next time -- earlier!

First a disclaimer: I love dou fu fa, but this place does it exactly how I like it. Not too smooth and watery to be on the cusp of being mistaken for jelly or American pudding (like the supermarket stuff) and yet not chalky or grainy, but most importantly not burnt tasting from a lackadaisical approach to an important dessert of our heritage. Order hot or cold, drizzle over some ginger syrup and a sprinkling of sugar and stand outside the stall admiring the best decision you've made all day.
