The internet is very very crappy and only available in the lobby. Shuttle transfers to and from from from Flores to Tikal available at USD 10. Cheaper and better to take the collectivo. Better still not to stay here at all. Better to stay in El Renate where everything is much cheaper and the service is much much more better. I paid USD 10 and got dropped off 500 metres from the El Renate junction.

Adventurous?!? Old meat in pasta sauce Live Scorpion fell into bed!! Yup! Bounced off my head and went straight towards my sleeping wife, tail raised ready to strike. Beware: Park entrance cash exchange racket(bring local$). Nice park though. Bus shuttle service is chaotic, disorganized. Won't return.

Worst place we have ever stayed in Central America! The only reason I give it a 2 rating is because of the proximity to the Mayan temples and the Ocellated Turkeys that roam the grounds. Power in rooms is regulated to very strict hours, wait staff are not friendly. Any US paper money you give them has to be crisp, with no tears! They told us it was because the bank won't take them. I found that strange, when one of the novelty vendors on the property had no problem taking my $5 bill with a small tear on it! Please research the lodging well before you stay in Tikal. I really hope Tikal Inn is NOT the norm!

The hotel is very conveniently located inside the Tikal archeological park. You must purchase a ticket to the park on the road before reaching the hotel. Being a couple of minutes from the entrance of the temples allows you to get in very early, before the crowds arrive from Flores for a better experience. On the other side, the hotel is quite pricey. Rooms are nice with hot water but my room was in the main building, next to the restaurant and the swimming pool and was very noisy. I had beef with vegetables for lunch in the restaurant. The beef was okayish and the vegetables delicous. Staff were quite helpful. The hotel can be paid with card but remember that there is no ATM in Tikal, so bring enough cash for other expenses (taxi, food etc).

We stayed in the budget room of this quiet hotel in Tikal. The entrance to the park is a few hundred meters walking. In the dense jungle surrounding the Tikal Inn are many beautiful birds and monkeys.

The room is basic but comfortable. During electric hours there is warm water in the spacious bathroom. The food in the restaurant is nothing special but the staff is really friendly and helpful. Tickets to the park can be bought at the hotel.

Checkout time is 11 o’clock but you’re welcome to stay longer besides the beautiful swimming pool.

Great place and right to the enter of the park. The rooms are spacious and while there is electricity only during the evening and morning, we didn't need more. There is even WiFi in the main area.

This hotel has a great location in the jungle at walking distance of Tikal. The restaurant was good. The cabins were simple but clean. The staff was kind. Main downsides were that you only have electricity a few hours in the morning and evening and that the swimming pool was dirty.

Service was really great the waiters in the restaurant were so nice. The food including the fruits and vegetables were really clean and safe to eat so you shouldn't be afraid to get a smoothie!!! Location was nice and assuming you know that there is no a.c. and electricity at most hours you know the heat is awful in Tikal. The rooms were not so nice including the beds however with how much walking you will be doing it won't matter that much.

Excellent location for the Tikal ruins. Arrive mid afternoon buy your Tikal tickets for the next day and they allow access after 4:00pm. Best time to visit, lots of animals and birds and very few people. The inn has a nice pool which we went in straight away and then went to the ruins after 4:00pm. Didn't eat there as a bit expensive, much cheaper nearby. Take a torch as power only on at 06:30 - 08:30 and 18:30 to 21:30. WiFi only works in reception and only when electricity is on. Good rural retreat, we liked it

Next to the Tikal entrance. They organize sunrise and sunset tours of Tikal with english speaking guide. Also easy to go alone to watch the temples. Nice pool area for relaxing and sunbathing.

A great launch pad for exploring the sites within the Tikal National Park, especially if you want a sunrise tour (it's worth the experience). The service is good and very friendly, but expect things to be pretty pricey, which is to be expected given you're a tourist in a remote location with limited choice.

We had a lovely, relaxed stay here. We are young travelers who walked everywhere around Final and it was great to have such a beautiful place to come back to. We did not use the restaurant. The pool is lovely, and a great bird watching spot. Yes there is limited electricity, but font let it hinder your stay. You are in the jungle remember! Being so close to the entrance was great for the sunrise, now if the humidity and clouds could have cooperated it would have been great.
