Bougiest restaurant in town but also best food in town. Priced around $10 per entree this is definitely a go to for dinner! Got the fried tilapia and was not disappointed. Great ambience and service as well

My friend Louise and I met in Guatemala for a short vacation in January 2017. From the time our driver picked us up at the airport in Guatemala City until we left, we were showered affection and attentiveness.
The food is delicious and nourishing - they have a huge vegetable garden that you can tour with its caretaker. Every morning we had breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant and enjoyed the featured warm drink of the day, a delicious breakfast and a spectacular view of Lake Atitlán. Each wonderful meal was prepared under the guidance of Chef Chati. The hotel is beautifully decorated and its gardens are beautiful and ideal for relaxing. You will find treasures all around, such as stained-glass art, pottery and lovingly cared-for plants.
Oh and what a wonderful thing it was to be staying at a place where one feels so good, 'cause on the third day of our stay, Louise broke her ankle as we hiked down a mountain! Not knowing anyone else, we reached out to the hotel and everyone at there helped us, arranging with a local hospital to care for Louise and taking us there and back to the hotel. Our driver and guide stayed with us until Louise returned to her room that night. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Tolimán for looking after Louise with such warmth.
If you want to be in a beautiful, quiet place away from the hustle and bustle, I highly recommend Hotel Toliman. From there you can visit by boat or by road all the other villages on the shores of Lake Atitlán. It is a haven of peace that feeds the spirit and the body. ;-)response / report this review -

I love to stay here every time I visit Amatitlan. It's the best hotel at San Lucas Toliman yet. The food service is great and the pool is even greater, it was recently upgraded. Nevertheless, I consider the rooms could use an upgrade when it comes to furniture. But overall experience, well you can tell by the rating.
