Watch out when renting this house, because even though I thought I was safe by having a contract with Armand Boissy, owner of Atitlan Solutions/Atitlan Rentals, the real estate agency through which I found the house, they made all sorts of excuses in order to keep my $ 1000 deposit. To my surprise, I discovered I wasn't the first victim. I recently found out there have been other cases where they have kept $500 and another $1000 deposits. Sadly, Guatemala is plagued with impunity and it's almost impossible to get my money back through legal action due to the inefficient justice system. All I can do is warn people before they fall into the same trap. Don't do business with Aquiles Faillace Moran, the owner, or Armand Boissy of Atitlan Solutions.
