Loved the ease of being right by the airport. Bilingual service was homey in a good way and everything seemed perfect for a quick stay overnight before heading home.

My very first stop in Guatemala. From airport pickup to the stay, everything was perfect.

Ruth is a great host, and the rooms are cozy. We had a late evening flight and upon arrival she was very quick to pick us up, very convenient. Breakfast was nice and filling. Would highly recommend for anyone arriving at Guatemala City that wants a quick airport escape.

Manager is very sweet and will make breakfast/dinner on request. Hot water. Nice beds. Free ride to airport (which is VERY close)
Only thing I didn't really appreciate was how around 9pm my friend and I were joined by a 50 year old man in our shared room for the night. I guess that is the nature of hostels but we had hoped they wouldn't put a man with two 22 year old girls traveling alone. But maybe that is just me.

This was a great experience for my family. Libertad, the owner and manager, is a warm and kind person who wants you to enjoy your stay in Guatemala. The hostal is clean, bright and secure and she includes a nice breakfast. It´s located within walking distance of museums, the zoo, artisanry market and the airport. Nevertheless, for your safety and convenience, take their free shuttle to and from the airport. Libertad can also help you plan a trip and then take you in her 10 person van or car. If it´s outside of Guatemala City her knowledgable husband will come along, but they do only speak Spanish.
