Such a pleasant surprise!! I always considered learning to surf and never really expected to try it in Guatemala. I met Michael at Beach Co. and all of that changed very quickly. Michael was an incredible source of knowledge about surfing and Guatemala. We had such a good time learning to surf and everything was taken care of by Michael, we did not have to worry about a thing.
After our amazing Guatemalan surfing experience, we requested Michael help us out with other adventures.
We climbed a volcano near Antigua, which was tough, but mind-blowing! We were lucky enough to see multiple eruptions!
We also went on a fishing tour. Wow!! Sailfish, Marlin, Dorado!!! What an experience!!!
All these incredible experience were delivered by Michael.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, we spent over a week on Michael inspired activities. We did not know these activities even existed before we walked into Beach Co.
If you are going to Guatemala, do yourself a favour, make Beach Co. your first stop and ask for Michael, it will be the best thing you do!!

I hired Mike and Beach Co Guatemala for my first trip to Guatemala and El Salvador. I'm a passionate surfer and was looking for a new place to visit and get wet. Mike provided me with superior professionalism throughout the process, especially the planning phase, where I can certainly be a bit in depth. Despite what may have appeared to be a badgering of questions, Mike was patient and communicated with me extremely well before, during and even as I left. We are friends today and talk on the regular. He arranged an amazing trip to El Paredon, and Antigua Guatemala and a shuttle across the country line into El Salvador. I surfed some amazing waves with great people, and even met some international friends that Im friends with today from my shuttle into El Salv. I stayed in places recommended by Mike that were all awesome places with great food, amazing hospitality, and the culture was inviting and super fun. He provided expert down low on the weather conditions, and surf predictions and places I should surf. He took me where I needed to go when I needed it, or arranged for pickups and hotel arrangements when he was working elsewhere. He even go me into one of the lineups with the locals at one of the best world-class yet, crowded line-ups in Central America. I surfed it about 9-12 feet on the sets that day with about 65-70 people in the water, and had free reign of set after set. Can't be thankful enough for that. And don't let that number twist your perception, most of the spots and most of the days, I was surfing uncrowded great surf, with friendly surfers in the water. I would recommend Mike and Beach Co's services to anybody looking for an amazing experience. I can't wait to go a third time and maybe try to work in his fishing experience too! Thanks Mike!!!

Mike was so helpful in setting up our learn to surf trip in El Salvador! He provided great packages and answered all of my questions. We had a wonderful experience!! Everything was perfect and my dad and I both really enjoyed the whole trip. We would definitely consider going back. Thank you Beach Co!

Great shop, local surf knowledge, guiding, advice and above all friendship.
Mike and his entire family made my trip worthwhile! I popped into this shop On the off chance of getting a lift to the surf and was met with friendly staff who said I should come back later and meet Mike the owner. Once introduced we surfed some truly epic waves in Guatemala where I got injured badly, but Mike and his family came to the rescue and got me fixed up just in time to join Mike and a couple of others on a surf trip to El Salvador!
Whilst I was healing in Antigua I would regularly pop in and say hi to the friendly people in the store. They have a great stock of products from jewellery, wallets and swimsuits to surfboards of all sizes! Just a shame I was on a strict solo travelling budget so I only left with the comfiest pair of flip flops/thongs.response / report this review -

We had an amazing time surfing throughout Guatemala and El Salvador with Beach Co. Mike was a fantastic guide who provided us with a safe, affordable and unforgettable experience.
It was very convenient having Mike as a guide who could speak fluent Spanish, making border crossings and getting around very easy! A trip with Beach co is an amazing way to surf and see such a fantastic part of the world!
I would highly recommend a trip with Beach Co to any keen surfer. Great Accommodation, great company, great food and more importantly great waves. I can’t wait to come back and do it all again!response / report this review -

The Mike man at BeachCo is the guy to go to for a quality central american Surf escapade! Guy's got the knowledge, skill, connections, and friendships at all the best spots to be during swell season which will make every pence count! He thankfully convinced me to head South to El Salvador with him instead of North to Puerto right when swell season kicked off and there wasn't one spot we hit that didn't deliver what every journey surfer is hoping for. You'd be foolish not to stop in for a chat and even more foolish not to sign up for his signature tours.
Thanks for the adventure and laughs, my dude!

Had the best waves in El Salvador and Guatemala. Managed to get Punta Rocka 6-8 foot with only a few guys out . Mick was the perfect guide took us to heaps of different spots, we scored big time!

Had a really great experience in El Salvador, El Zonte. Super nice and easy people to talk to at the hotel. The beach was literally 5 meters from the hotel!!

We love Global Surf because they only employ high quality people. Their instructors are locals who get to work on their native beaches. who knows the breaks better than the locals!?
