Total deseaster, probably the only airport in the world that does not have a luggage locker. There are some signs showing the way to a locker. Since we didn't find the locker, the unfriendly staff told us that there isn't a locker

This a small airport. But very well organised. It handles lots of flights. Some mornings there might be some wait during security check because of trafic. There is a duty free shop with great option of wines and drinks. Prices are nice. Prices for cosmetics are same as in the market. Toilets and facilities are clean. Nice Star Aliance lounge with many options for snacks and drinks. Desks for all major airlnes to buy of change tickets available. Very nice weather view from the windows. If you fly winter , its wind and can get cold so be ready with an overcoat when you get out of or on your way in the plane. The airport does not have ramps to board the planes. The airport is fully equiped to handle passenger that require special attention. Overall great experience. Good feeling. Have a nice trip!

Even for the second largest airport in Greece a smaller one, interesting luggage system where you carry it yourself through the security checks.
There are no good options for eating after the security checks.
No wifi at some gates.
But very clean restrooms

Straightforward Airport with all necessities. Definitely not the best airport nor the worst. Tends to be crowded though and there is not much to do.

Small airport, it can get a bit crowded sometimes. The layout is nice and traffic flows through nicely. The waiting areas could do with more seats though.

The toilets are clean. The duty free area is nice as well.
No jetways available.

Really bad service, HAS to be renovated very old and there are no signs for directions. I'd recommend another airport that is close to this region especially during April-October. Would not recommend.
And I HAVE been to this airport twice.

Macedonia Airport is the 2nd largest airport in Greece. It is quite big for Thessaloniki but small at the same time for the Summer during vacation. The airport facilities are old but good maintenaned. Awaiting for the renovation from Fraport

Well, this is shameful for an EU country. The roof is leaking, security check from the 70's, a lot of electricity blackouts, terrible connection with city centre just to mention a few.

Missing a lot of basic features. Staff are not completely aware of international travel requirements. They have to keep contacting other airports.

I am wondering if the airport managers read those reviews!

The queuing system was insufficient. There was Tandem queue. It would work better is there was a single not straight queue and then going to the counters.

The security control did not have a table for those waiting, to prepare for their turn.

A total waste of my time. It could be so easily avoided. And when you complain to the security checks they say go to complain downstairs. And because of the insufficient handling there was no time to complain.
