Airport Is user friendly, easy to walk through and the staff in its majority are friendly and professional. Keep up the good job!

No smoking areas; closed because of COVID; look at Istanbul, Vienna, Frankfurt or Belgrade; everywhere it is open.

Welcome to Greece! I arrived at early morning and the same time one other plane. All the people supposed to wait in one line for the Corona test. By my mind only 2 or 3 doctors was making test. Too much time to wait all the lines. Still happy to be in Greece. Dear people, please be patient!

Fine airport. Not too large, never really crowded. Good selection of shops with great products for decent prices. One of my favourite airports.

As you may already guess, it is a big International Airport. From here you may go almost anywhere you want.
JUST TO HELP YOU. There are duty free stores, after the first check (a confirmation that you have a ticket with a valid ID/Passport), but not close to every gate after the luggage and body check. I found 1 at a gate that was far from the main building (20 min. walk) when I was flying with Ryan Air, but even so, it was only with a small amount of watches, books and magazines.
The only this I recommend you to buy after the luggage and body check is water. Much cheaper than anywhere else (except the supermarket) and it is always nice to have some with you in the aircraft.

Very nice and organized with friendly staff helping you around and giving you directions. If you would like a snack before you pass security Panopolis is the place for you. Great snacks friendly staff and reasonable prices!

DOV:August2016 Really good airport with Greek architecture. Plenty of space, restaurants and prayer rooms. The only place other than in India where the cabbin baggage tag system was found :) . There are nice commutation options in buses and metro trains.

We were at our gate in about fifteen minutes. We went through security easily, people were friendly and efficient event at 6am! So far, it has been the best airport experience.

Note that it takes about 45 euros by taxi to the city center. If you book with your hotel it is about 40.

This isn't a big airport as you would think, which isn't a bad thing. They updated some of the shops and eating areas which are now pretty nice to either buy things or just shop around. Navigation is easy and the employees are nice. They have a good number of lounges to pick from and they all happen to be lined up in a row, which is mighty convient when looking for one that suits your needs.

Better-than-expected International Airport serving Athens and all of Greece. Decently organized with quite good facilities. The airport received an extensive upgrade for the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics. This upgrade has led to the airport being a lot more convenient and passenger oriented than most public facilities in Greece. Easy to get to from Athens and easy to fly through for connecting and destination passengers. Recommended.

    MUST READ REVIEW!!!

From the moment I entered into the Athens International airport I was immediately treated by the sensational sounds of the one, and only, Frank Sinatra. The way his melodic voice fused with the accompanying big band served not only as a kind welcome to a foreign city, but a remind that legends never die. Once I passed through customs I yet again craned my head to angle my ears towards a neighboring speaker. What did I hear? Wonderwall by Oasis. But you never would have guessed that, huh? Not only was it Wonderwall, but it was an acoustic version sung by some sort of Greek goddess from above. Must've been Aphrodite for all I know.

Anyways, came here for a relaxing vacation and some sort of ancient architectural experience and left knowing that beautiful music stills exists in this world even if foes like that Ed Sheeran guy are trying to ruin it for everyone else.

    Five stars.

I would have given this airport 4 stars if we did not have such a poor experience with the baggage claim staff. When asking for help with where our bags are, as they were very late and we were attempting to make a connection, they said they could do nothing and laughed in our faces. Too bad they do not have a supervisor who would actually have them do their jobs properly, leaving a good image for the country of Greece who is already struggling so much.

Not sure who designed this airport but they should be fired. Gates are incredibly far from each other making connections difficult and the layout of the floors is nonsensical. SAD!

WORST AIRPORT EVER. the Olympics airline staff are being RUDE!!! They treat you like second class citizens. Never fly with OLYMPICS EVER AGAIN. They don't allow STAR ALLIANCE GOLD members to collect their miles!!! Even though on their official website, OLYMPICS is an affiliate of STAR alliance. WE ENDED UP PAYING FOR LUGGAGE that we didn't need to! F**K Olympics. THESE GREEDY PEOPLE JUST TRY TO MAKE MORE MONEY OUT OF CUSTOMERS.

Cool airport. Clean, big enough, not so busy. Very quick security control. Some shops at departure area with reasonable prices. Taxi fixed fare to the centre = 38 EUR. Bus to Pireus (X96) = 6 EUR and 1h10
