Awesome Hotel! Lives up to its worldwide reputation! Perfect place to hold an International Trading Show. Very comfortable, strategically located, unbeatable breakfast services and conference rooms. Perfect place to hold business meetings, with the right privacy settings.

Original review relates to my immense disappointment on the damaged luggage handle and the management’s terrible attitude and service towards addressing the issue. Immediate and only response from the hotel was to deny all responsibility and in turn claim that it must be damaged at the airport. Below is my further response to the hotel’s reply:
Thank you for the official statement again, ignoring again the fact that the luggage was left intact at the lobby by myself. I have the habit of 1) checking my luggage before check in at airport and after i get it back at baggage claim, 2) before it is handed off at the coach and after it comes off the coach, hence I can be 100% sure that the luggage handle was intact when I left it in the hotel lobby because it was checked per habit. This was communicated to the manager. He had no explanation then for the damage which must have happened between hotel lobby and the room. The luggage was just left on its side outside the room after a knock on the door. The offer to repair came only after it was pointed out that there was no report/communication of any existing damage to the luggage to the manager nor the client prior to the complaint; a report is supposed to be have been made in accordance to manager’s claim of the procedures that were in place and strictly adhered to. Anyhow, it is duly noted that the hotel shall and will always & only maintain its own version of truth. Hope this clarifies.

Gym is very basic. No where to lift weights besides in the way of other machines. Stayed here 3 nights and they couldn't give me a room with a queen size bed. Ended up having 2 single beds. But why thought?

One of the best hotels in Greece. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, they pay special attention to details. The hotel is luxurious, there is a beautiful lobby to wait or eat something. The spa room is relaxing and the gym well equipped. The breakfast is again very recommended. Everything speaks luxury, even the price per night.

This hotel exceeded our expectations by far, not only were the staff attentive, curteous and polite but they also anticipated our needs and nothing was ever too much to ask. From the front desk reception to concierge to house keeping staff we have nothing but praise to give for their exceptional customer service. The hotel itself is magnificent with spacious rooms, a gorgeous pool area with sun beds on 2 floors and a fantastic gym. Breakfast was incredible and exactly what we needed to fuel us for the busy days of exploring. In addition to the amazing hotel experience they also provide a free shuttle bus taking guests to and from the city centre throughout the day. This five star hotel made our trip an unforgettable one and we look forward to revisiting in the future :)

Not the easiest location to get to, but great place to stay. Very clean and amenities are abundant. We got the breakfast ,lunch, and bar for 150 euros. Great value. Awesome service and large rooms.

Room was very nice. Large comfortable bed, nice amenities. Very dark with the curtains drawn, and quiet. TV channels a little limited but we didn't visit to watch TV. Our view wasn't looking to the Acropolis unfortunately. Room Service was accurate and speedy. Hotel concierge and staff very accommodating.

Overall a great place to stay in Athens the rooms are large and several have views of the Acropolis. There's also a nice pool, truly a full service place to stay. The location is probably not the best with some busy through fares nearby but it's a quick Uber ride to anything.

Where to start? Upon arrival they tried to downgrade me to a room which I did not book. I had to wait about 40 minutes until, finally, they agreed to give me what was booked at 200 Euros per day. Whilst waiting for 40 minutes, I asked if there was water since it was hot: Told there is NO water at the reception of a 5 star hotel.
What else? Oh - internet is not included in this price of a superior king room!
This is certainly not Greek hospitality.
The location is between 2 busy roads with no shops - so be ready to be fleeced by the hotel for whatever you require. Terrible experience!

We liked our stay here at the Intercontinental. During check in we were greeted with impeccable hospitality.
The room we received was on the 7 floor (714) this did not have a view of acropolis due to a large building.
The room was large and clean, all normal services are offered. The Internet is pay per use, 6 euro for the basic package per 24 hour period and up to 3 devices.
We received a bottle of complementary wine during our stay and made for a perfect evening with room service.
We also used the premier restaurant that has a great view of the acropolis. Formal clothing in this award winning restaurant.
There are paid movies to watch on tv 18 euro per show this seems excessive.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

My wife and I stayed for one night on 25 May 2014.
Check in staff very friendly and concierge very helpful. We were happy with our acropolis view and the bed was very comfortable, and room was tidy. Don't forget to put "Do not Disturb" sign on door if you don't want to be disturbed. We were interrupted 3 times by housekeeping staff, asking if we needed anything. They just opened the door without even knocking.
We were very angry that the Premiere Restaurant was closed (Sunday and Mondays), as we wanted to dine outside with view of Acropolis, which is one reason we chose to stay there.
Shuttle bus was very good, being able to take us where we needed to go. Bell staff very helpful.
On checking out, we got the most unprofessional person ever. She looked unhappy, and didn't make eye contact at all.
The hotel itself is quite out of the way of most attractions, so would stay elsewhere if I ever did go back to Athens.

Rooms are not very new. Service is good . spa is okay. Great massage. It is excellent for a business trip when you want to stay close to the center but also not exactly too close.

The hotel is well located in the business district and gives you easy access if you are driving down to the coast. They have a nice pool and the club lounge has a great view over the town. The lounge also has a good evening drinks and food offering. Parking is easy as it is underground on the side of the hotel. Breakfast is very good and has anything you can imagine and if you chose the club lounge you will have a great view for breakfast as well.
