Nice sea view. Close to town. Customer service is poor and hotel is outdated. Loys of room for improvement.

Hotel Prince Stafilos, Skopelos
Wij zitten in kamer 314 Wat een ramp. De aankleding van de kamer lijkt wel uit een kringloopwinkel te komen. Het piepkleine koelkastje doet het niet of nauwelijks. De bedden zijn kei en keihard, alsof je rechtstreeks op de vloer slaapt. Ik kom al sinds de jaren 80 in Griekenland, dus ik heb wel behoorlijk veel vergelijkingsmateriaal en dan is dit de slechtste qua slaapcomfort. Dit is wel 4 sterren mensen, waar je al gauw voor een 3-pers kamer rond de €100 per kamer per nacht betaalt. Het is net of de kamer nog niet af is. De liftschacht zit als het ware in onze kast ingebouwd. Je hoort werkelijk alles: het gebrom van de lift, de bel van de lift, je hoort ook letterlijk alles wat er wordt gezegd en dat de hele nacht door. Slapen doe we toch al niet op de 'Flintstone bedden', man het is zo hard als beton! De hele dag de zon op de kamer. Het is niet om te harden! Er zit een soort splitlevel in de kamervloer waardoor ik 2x gevallen ben. En ik heb al een prothese! Verder zit er een soort helling in de tegels richting de deur. Levensgevaarlijk als de vloer nat is. De douchekop trek je van de muur af als je het wilt verstellen. Het geheel lijkt in elkaar gezet door een dronken bouwvakker want zo'n slechte afwerking heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt. En dat noemt zich 4 sterren hotel Nou, niet in dit melkwegstelsel hoor 😜
Heb gevraagd om een andere kamer. Het eiland is prachtig maar dit hotel Als je op bijv Trivago kijkt zie je prachtige kamers. Deze kijken uit op het zwembad of de zee. Dit is duidelijk een B-keuze kamer!

Be carefull there are some rooms under the roof which are very dark and unconfortable. but if you are in the 1st floor rooms there are no problems at all there only have a middle age décoration. The breakfast is disappointing too.

Great and very friendly service, interesting interior and classy furniture.
Very bad breakfasts. There is nothing greek or traditional for breakfast, only: eggs, ham, cheese, cereals. Food ruins the experience

Price Stafilos was at a time upscale. You can see it in the furnishings, the parlor doors doubling as glass cabinets, the fireplace now unused. The staff still dress in black and white, and are courteous. They're really nice and answer all questions with a smile. Stafilos has had to scale down since it's founding 35 years ago, and it's former assets (decor, space, mansion feel) are now overshadowed by weaknesses in today's requirements (location is close to center but a little off, poor wifi, bathroom is meant for bathing instead of showering).
