Value for money. Clean and comfortable rooms in Athens city center. Nice rooftop view to the Acropolis. The breakfast was good. The neighborhood is typical for Athens city center.

Very clean and really friendly personnel. Perfect view on the Acropolis and good food. But the rooms are quiet small and it isn't located in Athens best neighborhood.

Great location next to Psiri and in a walking distance to all the sights of Athens. Rooms on 6th floor with amazing balconies and view on Acropolis. Parking can be reserved just in front of the Hotel. We would absolutely recommend this place!

We stayed at this hotel from June 27-30th.

The hotel customer service was second to none. "Panos" & "Sarah" were amazing hosts and did anything they can to make our stay comfortable. Its almost like they knew what and when we'd need something, and be ready to provide.

The hotel is not new, but the staff put in great effort to keep it clean and tidy. Our daughter walked into the glass door on one occasion, it was so clean. The floors, doors, etc. are spotless and the work the cleaning staff put in shows.

The rooms are basic and the lighting is a little old, but again very functional. Beds, sheets and all towels were clean, and the hotel had a baby crib in our room setup and ready on arrival. My only complaint with the room is the A/C was not working properly (sometimes great, other times not) but I forgot to tell the hotel staff about it - I'm sure they'd rectify the situation had I not forgotten to mention it. It also could have been the A/C couldn't keep up with the heat wave during our stay (Highs of 42C).

The hotels location is not the best, but not the worst either. Some drug users and homeless people were close by, but they keep to themselves and we never had a safety issue during our stay. It is about 5min walk from "touristy" places.

All in all, can't beat it for the price and would definitely stay again next time I'm in Athens.

I requested budget accommodation close to the main tourist attractions in Athens and my travel agent booked Hotel Evripides in the neighborhood of Psiri. From outside it doesn't look like much but inside it is really nice. It's basic accommodation but clean and comfortable which is what's important. Breakfast is included which is really a bonus. The greatest thing about this little gem is that it is literally a 10min walk from EVERYTHING, Plaka/Acropolis/Monastiraki. Honestly the neighborhood does look a bit dodgy, but a short distance away, your turn a corner and a few more steps and it's like you in a different place. Just always be vigilant and you'll be fine.

    Cons:

Room:  The bed was hard, very hard that my back hurt from sleeping on the bed. The bed consist of two twins bed push together to make one bed.

Bathroom: Bathtub was extremely small  and was hard to shower in but was durable.

No microwave nowhere at all at the hotel; not even at breakfast area (could not heat left over food).

Room 606 was underneath the breakfast area which meant every morning we was awoke by chairs being moved around; seam as they was being dragged on the floor.

    Pros:

Check In: Was quick and easy; staff and reception was helpful and very nice, even help easy my auntie fear of the location. Reception area was clean and very inviting.

The hotel is in a conventional location;   near Plaka, Acropolis, Central Market Athens, The Square, Restaurant, Monastiraki metro station, shops, cafés, flea market and more all within walking.

The hotel is a "rough" looking area but we felt safe and had no problem with our personal safety. We adventured out daily; morning noon and night. I did notice police everywhere which was an extra plus in feeling safe. By the third day we realize the people are just locals that we saw daily as we ventured out.

The room was excellent with aircondition/heater, small refrigerate, update television mounted to wall; flat screen television, in room safe and excellent in room Wi-Fi.

Room: 606 is has an very lovely view of the acropolis museum and the city.

The room has a large walk on balcony with decent patio furniture and a awesome view of acroplois museum. The  beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset on the balcony was great but that view of acropolis at night was phenomenal.

The room was small but beautiful and clean.

Bathroom: The bathroom was small but clean. The bathroom was stock with toiletries which was of  great quality. There was plenty of towels and tissue paper.

Continental Breakfast:  Every morning for breakfast was fresh and delicious fruits that sweet and juicy. There was also yogurt, bread, cheese, cold meats and cereals, all enjoyed with a great view over Athens.
Maid service: Excellent with keeping the room clean and stock with the necessities for the day.

Staff: Very helpful and quick with response when my mother in law and auntie need help with turning on the heat in their room and other little minor things they needed help with. Overall: The property was clean and very up kept and I would stay at Evripides Hotel again but for a short stay.

Very good hotel with breathtaking rooftop, kindly staff and very convenient location near historical centre of Athens. Near hotel you may find some poor neighbourhoods with anxious strangers, you may be careful at night walking, but in day time there is no danger. You also need to remember a greek's hospitality.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel a lot. Big and comfortable room, everything was clean and the staff was nice. And the absolutely best thing is having breakfast on the rooftop with the amazing view on Acropolis! I definitely recommend.

Really well located, GREAT rooftop terrace with superb view on the acropolis.
Rooms are clean and big. 5/10 min walk to central station (which is next to the acropolis) and plenty of bars and restaurant at a 5min walk.
It's seriously a great deal for the low price.

I liked this hotel a lot!
The staff was super helpful with suggestions on city tour and very polite. The room were clean, the bathroom is not so big but it is more than enough. Location of the hotel is perfect, especially if you don't have so much time to visit the city. Breakfast on the terrace is the best with the view of the Acropolys. Will definitely go back there!
