We had a very nice dinner by a company there. It was awesome! Very good taste, quality of food and strange flavors bonded together!

One of the best! Very professional and attentive staff, with clean well layed out rooms. The staff went out of their way in anticipating our needs and helping. The location in the Placa was a perfect base to see the sights of the city.

The hotel is in the heart of town so sound insulation in the rooms is of paramount importance. Instead, it is very poor. If you are a light sleeper, noise intolerant person or simply refuse to stay in a hotel which cannot cater for basics like this , stay away.
Also, if you like using your laptop or your mobile at night you may need to pack an extension wire because the Acropolis is closer to your bed than the nearest socket.
The staff here are a real treasure but as one of them told me ‘ we cannot hold responsability for the structural faults of the hotel’.response / report this review -

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Comfortable rooms and a great rooftop area with bar, bar and restaurant and pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Oh, great breakfasts too with an outdoor courtyard area available.

Pool unheated which made it too cold to swim in, disappointing for a luxury hotel. Not nearly enough lounge chairs by the pool which makes it hard to get a spot. Room not refurbished and very dated, wallpaper peeling, etc - see pictures. Instead of double bed had two singles, which is common and fine if they are made up as a double but they were made up as two singles pushed together, which was odd. Customer service leaves much to be desired (in all of Athens) but the staff need to be re trained. For instance, at breakfast the staff will open a door and walk through in front of guests rather than opening the door for guests and then passing through. Breakfast selection was good but not quite five star. Look if you want a five star hotel you'll be disappointed, if you're looking for a clean decent hotel then book here.

Charming hotel in Plaka within steps of many restaurants, shops, and the acropolis. Best part is the rooftop pool with stunning view of the acropolis. The room was a comfortable size and there was a good spread at breakfast included.

Excellent hotel in Plans, near all the main sites to visit in Athens. Breakfast was incredible, wide variety, even a waffle maker. Staff was helpful and polite. Nice swimming pool on a rooftop with views to the Acropolis

Extremely frustrating experience, and very bad customer service. My husband booked three nights at Electra through hotels dot com. The booking was marked non-refundable, but he erroneously made the booking for the incorrect dates when we will not even be in Greece. We discovered the error shortly before our planned trip, when we double checked the reservation. We called the Electra and they refused to change the room reservation, claiming that the hotel was fully booked. We then checked hotels dot com, and there was indeed availability for higher-priced rooms at the hotel on the relevant dates. We called the Electra back and asked to change the reservation to the correct dates with a higher-priced room, with the previous booking applied as a credit toward the cost. They refused to do anything other than charge us the full amount of the original booking plus the additional cost of the more expensive rooms that were available! We contacted hotels dot com, and they attempted to negotiate on our behalf. They informed us that the Electra Hotel would not assist in any way, and that this was entirely at the hotel's discretion. The Electra provided terrible customer service. It also demonstrated bad business judgment, since we have a large network of friends, family members, and colleagues who travel frequently. We will be sure to caution them against booking at the Electra.

Amazing Hotel!
Truly a very special and memorable stay at this hotel in Athens! Highly suggest you stay at this hotel if you're in Athens. Top notch! Also, the buffet breakfast was soooooooo good! :)

Small room which was outdated. Could hear everything was said/done in the neighbouring rooms. The sink was making noises presumably each time someone upstairs used water. Impossible to take a shower without soaking up the (moldy) bathroom. The balcony of our room was filled with improvised ashtrays and cigarette butts. We complained and received the following excuse for not cleaning : "it rained today so the lady could not clean the balcony". Staff at reception is OK. Staff at breakfast seemed too busy talking among themselves to pay attention to customers. Finally, some electrical outlets were not working in our room!
The hotel is perfectly located though. But there are many better hotels for half the price in the neighbourhood with more helpful staff and largely better rooms. I have no idea how this hotel is rated 5 stars.response / report this review -
