This was THE BEST place we visited in the Gambia!!
Nikki and Neil make you feel at home right away, the bar is cozy, and OH MY GOD, the food!!
Nikki is such a good cook, we loved loved loved the Indian food ❤️

The owners Nikki and Neil go above and beyond to make your stay as comfertable and pleasant as possible. The plantation is an excellent hotel to stay at while in The Gambia. You get an authentic experience and excellent and personal service. Highly recommend!

We have just completed 31 blue sky days at the Plantation. Super hosts Nikki and Neil made the whole stay a special experience. We opted for Half Board and enjoyed an amazing variety of excellent home cooked food prepared by Nikki. The Plantation is a truly mini paradise with comfortable rooms and well kept gardens buzzing with different beautiful birds, all so peaceful and of course the swimming pool to cool during the heat of the day. We did many trips, organised with precision by Nikki, always including a driver and a guide, for very reasonable cost. The bird/wildlife trips were excellent, particularly if like me you are a keen photographer. The river trip, involving us two and a guide in one boat, was a stand out experience. To top all of this the hosts organise seamless collection and delivery from and to the airport, so hassle free.
If it is culture, beach, chill, or wildlife, we highly recommend The Plantation, especially for a winter break from the damp cold northern European climes. Thank you so much Nikki and Neil.

The place is run by lovely English Scottish couple of Nikki and Neil and a dog Clyde who are very friendly and open-minded. With their great hospitality you may have feel like in your own home. They perfectly know when to let you space for privacy and when to entertain you. All the problems of guests are solved with great attention and devotion to satisfy them. Besides they are great companions. You will find them helpful in bargains with locals as well as trip organizers. And they cook delicious meals for guests.

Fantastic hosts fabulous variety of food cooked beautifully by nikki everyday. Wonderful clean accommodation and extremely comfortable. Lovely pool kept immaculately and so much to look at flowers birds etc.

Enjoyed a night with Neil n Nikki, mine hosts, lovely BBQ, cold drinks and super surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble! Also, on next table we met an old school friend! It was surreal! Food was fresh and well prepared and presented, all homemade too! Come n see for yourself, you won't be disappointed! Also, if you like there are lovely rooms, so you can even stay the night, for a small cost. What are you waiting for? Warm welcome awaits!

Beautiful place to stay, Gambia is a really great country to visit and lovely and warm in Winter. The Plantation has the best food and hosts you could ask for!
