Not a great experience at Leybato I'm afraid.
On the plus side, I will say it is in a great location right on the beach and a short walk to the town.
We found it to be quite run down and in disrepair. This we wouldn't have minded if it had been a little more organised We were still chasing the person to check in three days after we arrived and when we went to clarify a room cost against a price list provided in our bedroom, they were angry and accusatory (apparently the price list was 7 years old.. Not our fault!!) In general, we were made to feel quite uncomfortable about asking questions as the staff were for the most part quite unfriendly.
The included breakfast is not great.
Even though it was relatively cheap, it was not good value for money.

Nice spot on the beach, with a decent bar and restaurant. Views are comforting, and the straw canopied areas are comfortable and quiet. Rooms are clean, but the beds are on the soft and uncomfortable side. Can get quite hot and humid during the summer months, so go for a room with AC or a fan during that time of year.

I haven't stay at this hotel and don't think i will any time soon. I love hanging out at the tables drinking with friends and family. when i go to the brach. The out door toilet and shower need to be attended to there is no shower head and they cost lest than 5 drinks and the out door shower and toilets are very out dated I will give a ☆. On another note you sarve food to your customers you need to provide you customers soap at the hand washing base.

One of the best cheapest places on the beach. Breakfast can be late. Good for foreigners.

A room on the beach which is nice. Not necessarily worth the price though. The AC isn't always working, wifi shifts down a lot, and the breakfast sometimes isn't out on time. It's good if you want privacy though, and the best tailor works about a minute away.

Rooms have old broken furniture however the bed was firm & sheets clean. Rooms need major update. Lovely oceanside setting. Paltry breakfast consisting of bread, jam, instant coffee, tea, hard-boiled eggs and bananas. They could do better at not much extra cost to themselves.

Had lunch/diner over here. Lovely restaurant with great view and lovely staff. Definitely try the fried chicken , we found it the best in The Gambia. Also the wonjo and baobab juice is recommended

What a beautiful place
So relaxing and stunning views. Friendly bar staff that make you feel welcome.
One of the best sunsets we have seen yet.
Well recommended if you want a chilled relaxing day .

This hotel is not for everyone, however if you want a basic room with a comfortable bed on a nice quiet part of the beach this is the place for you.
