Great hotel with attentive friendly staff. This is our second stay, got the room we requested and always find fresh fruit in our room on arrival. Waiters and staff remember us from the year before. Gambia in general is a very friendly country. We have established friendships with the market traders and some restaurants around the strip. Always feel like a local when in Gambia!

A beautiful hotel and a place for relaxation. It's close to the sea therefore you can just sit either by the pool or by the sea. The rooms are big and quite nice. It's not a modern hotel though but is acceptable if you are not expecting too much. There are no high end hotels in this area therefore this is one of the best you can get. There are eating places just outside the hotel so you don't have to eat from the hotel always. Food here is quite cheap.

Lovely hotel and great breakfast. Bumsters continue to be a nuisance when you leave the hotel but nowhere near as bad as palma rima.

An aging hotel with suspicious staff and management that will always try to pull extra money out of you. The infrastructure is still rather good by Gambian standards, but every time I visit there seems to be something else not working.

Good hotel rooms. More of what I'd call basic as it a hotel that has been there for a while,byt well maintained. But ask for the the newer rooms when checking in. Decent spa and swimming pool. Great staff very friendly.good breakfast and it's located right in the middle of great bars and restaurants And yes also quiet. You have access to the beach as well.

The view is amazing, pool, staff but sti they have to improve their rooms, food they offer and the currency exchange. They take euro but they give back change in local money.

You have to remember you are in Africa. Some things are basic. Don't expect a London style 5* hotel. It does offer everything you need. Lovely pool. Beach right outside. The staff are amazing. Very attentive. Can't do enough for you. Right outside the hotel is the 'strip' where you can eat and see the little market at the end. Food here is basic but mostly tasty. The pool staff are lovely and you will see all staff regularly. The rooms are a little dated. But cleaned well. I have been here twice and would love to come again. The Gambian people are lovely. Find yourself a trust worthy taxi drive and there is much to see. Monkey sanctuary, crocodile pool and the markets. A little bit of the Gambian way of life but also the craft market. So many lovely things!!! Worth every penny. Although don't change your money before you get here. The rates on the strip are normally about 10p better than at home!!

Five star hotel for Gambia, but not really upto modern standards. The gardens are beautiful, with flowering shrubs and trees. Lots of butterflies and birds. The swimming pool is excellent, great for cooling off. It is right on the beach, but beware of people trying to sell you stuff. The food gets a bit boring if you are there for a week, but just outside the hotel on the road to the highway there are lots of decent basic restaurants. The rooms are fine, could do with some renovation, but everything worked. Staff very friendly. I would go back there.
