Fascinating and not at all boring compared to some museums. It is quite small but there is a lot to take in. I especially liked the short cinema film and the scale model of the rock. It gave me a chance to have a look at the whole rock and put places into perspective from the point of view of the wars and how this little country has developed. Well done Gibraltar.

The highlight of this museum is getting to see up close the old bath house built by the Muslims. But with an entry fee of 5 pounds, i would recommend skipping this attraction.

Good presentation of collections and history of Gibraltar. Short film summarising the history of Gibraltar a must for first time visitors and a first thing to see before visiting the place. Good selection of Gibraltar books for sale.

A very interesting museum. We spend a good couple of hours wondering around in here.

The layout is a bit odd as the exhibits don't seem to have any order to them when you walk around.

Entry fee is £5 per person which we though was good value for the amount of history I this place.

There is no parking close but plenty of parking around the town, gibralter is so small that you can walk from one end to the other in an hour or so.

No visit to Gibraltar would be complete without a visit to its museum. The museum itself is a warren of small rooms and narrow passages to which you gain entry by paying a paltry £2 (in 2017). Poorly lit artifacts in varnished cabinets, more reminiscent of an 18th Century Victorian gentleman's collection in his private study, belie the importance of what is on view. It is a world apart from the modern museums you may have visited in various cities - and long may it remain so. The museum is as anachronistic as Gibraltar itself.

Very cool museum! Only costs £2 per person and is truly a must see in Gibraltar. You can get their this museum easily within 30-60 minutes. I would've have spent 90-120 minutes here but I entered near closing. My favorite exhibits were the Neanderthal, outdoor aquaducts site, and the Moorish bathhouse. There are also a few great videos with seeing. My only complaint is that they play on a continuous loop and do not give a run-time. Amazing museum for the money.

An excellent all around museum exploring many various areas of Gibraltar's rich history and culture. Exhibits include Neanderthals on the rock, the British and Moorish conquests and local wildlife. One of the true highlights was the beautifully preserved 13th century Moorish baths. Definitely worth a visit!

The Bomb House Lane address is correct but the marker on the map is well outside this central location. Great museum as the military history is so continuous. The Neardertal Women should be better known. The old moorish baths worth a look.
