The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, which was opened in 1960 shortly after Ghana's independence in 1957, was closed down in 1981 with budgetary intervention.

Ambassador Kenan Tepedelen has presented the letter of confidence to Ghanaian President John Evans Atta Mills on May 20, 2010.

The Turkish embassy, as well as Ghana, is also accredited to Liberia.

There is also a Military Attaché and Trade Counselor in their embassy.
