spending time with kids at the swimming pool is fun.
The emotional trauma that endured at this hotel was traumatizing. It was a nightmare. No shuttle, bugs in room, no hot water, no water pressure, bugs in food, prices on menu not consistent with what you are required to pay, laundry burned clothing, sporadic electricity, no consistent accessibility, no internet, held hostage by hotel management (yes), and the list could go on. The hotel visually is beautiful; however, the services are a NIGHTMARE and a RIPOFF. Totally traumatized by this place and shake the dust off my feet from them. Will be notifying the American Embassy of the experience and will NEVER, EVER, recommend this ABYSS to anyone.
despite being a good hotel it sins in the restaurant. with a little more attention it would become acceptable.
Nice accommodation and restaurant and services
Prices are a little above average but they have nice amenities like the gym and poolside
Very amazing
Using Google map to locating places
Hotel atmosphere is very nice intresting ,peace, people are kind nice place for a holiday vacation. only thing that Wi fi should be improved for faster.my best wishes to One and All of the Hotel Management and all the Staff.
Quiet place though but the light inside flashing and TV not functioning complained but no action taken Rice
forms majority of the menu list.
It's a quiet beautiful place that offers good service to both hotel residents and visitors alike
Environment is serene, rooms are spacious, conditions around are good, workers are friendly, but rice dominated our menu.
The worker's over there are loving, respectful, kind and they always want to use the policy guest first
Nice place. but slow in action. Nice hideout to go swimming etc
I stayed at the Aknac hotel in Ghana over the long weekend (12th to 17th April) for a wedding and the hotel was recommended to the wedding party. Big mistake!
Upon arrival, I was showed to my room, which had stained sheets, dusty surfaces, air conditioner not working. I reported this to the receptionist on duty immediately only to be told they would see to it. Four hours later, the room clean-up was still pending after requesting the clean up three different times. The receptionist was kind enough to mention to my brother who was nearby that I was a difficult customer for daring to ask my room be cleaned and the sheets replaced.
The complimentary breakfast is very plain. Basically same thing daily with at most one component changed.
Day three, while sleeping, in the early hours of the morning, someone broke into the room. Stole my and my roommate’s phones, money in various currencies, purses etc. Personal belongings tossed in the balcony for good measure. At 5am, we discovered the theft and raised the alarm. Other guests also raised the alarm on having their money, laptops, and phones also stolen.
There was no credible manager to take charge of the situation, rather the chef, receptionist and other junior staff urged us to calm down without any course of action so as not to upset their other guests. The owner’s daughter was there, however chose to hide in her room. Took the hotel at least 5 hours to respond with the Chief Security Officer asking me what he should do, I was amazed by the question. The hotel manager subsequently turned up insisting it was not their responsibility and we the guests should go report at the police station.
They were kind enough to drive us there. We made the report and were told we would have to approach the hotel management to acquire the policy reports we made at the police station. This was confusing given the copies of the reports should be provided by the police to us. Apparently this was not the done process in this instance.
The hotel management refused to meet with us at all and after several attempts, we were forced to confront them on a way forward on our lost monies, items, and police reports.
The repulsive owner rudely informed us that there was nothing we could do and he was not going to refund us. Then went on to threaten us with police arrest if we continued to make waves about the issue.
I was a frequent visitor to Ghana before this. However, the treatment meted out by this hotel has certainly guaranteed this will be my last to that country.
Other points to note:
•The dirty sheet provided by the hotel has given me a nasty, angry rash, which I am currently undergoing treatments for at home (Nice present to bring back).
•When the theft was reported, the owner’s daughter (also works at the hotel) found it necessary to laugh about it, which we were going crazy at what occurred.
•The night before the theft, the hotel roommaster key went missing and was later found after the theft.
•We were assured the cctv was working at the time of checking in. After the theft, we heard another story about how the cctv was not working for several months so no footage of the culprit was available.
My family and I stayed at this hotel about two weeks ago. We went to Ghana for my brothers wedding and got robbed. Till now we are still trying to figure out how one can get robbed at a hotel. So if you know you value your life and things do not go there cause they are thieves. 2nd their elevators have problems, air conditioning is quite poor and their services have question mark written all over it.
Lacking for a four star hotel, consistency from breakfast to housekeeping wasn't upheld throughout my stay. Definitely a 2-3* hotel
beautiful environment. I particularlylove the pic pianist in performance
Hidden place. Difficult to locate yet nice place and pool
The hotel is nice. Have beautiful environment. Have superb lighting system. I had the opportunity to spend 5 days there. Everything was cool but their Internet was bad.
Lovely hotel. 15 minute drive into central Accra so nice location to see a more authentic Ghana. Great food and staff. Comfortable beds and an overall great service. Will surely return on my next visit to Accra.
