This Hospital is one of the oldest facilities that was built for the provision of health support it has now been modified to meet international standard's
Excellent healthcare delivery amidst challenges among which includes equipments and staffing.
Could really really use more aids with wheelchairs to collect people when they are brought to the entrance of the hospital (if I'm speaking of the main entrance). There are possibly more entrances than I saw. There is a security person at the gate and family members were struggling to follow the person they brought in. However, I know nothing if the protocol for the entrance of people not being seen for care. The person I went to see looked well taken care of and general hospital resources were at her bed and in the room all around.
Very beautiful and sound place for learning. It is also neat and have close accommodation and lodging within and around the school
Didn't give 5 star because of administrative lapses from time to time(due mainly to political interference). Otherwise , Korle Bu is the number 1 state of the art hospital a in the West African sub Region.
My wife was in that hospital for 2 days being treated for asthma. It may be a teaching hospital and state of the art but they had her in the dingiest dirtiest part of the hospital with no clean sheets or blankets. She was among the seriously ill asthmatics. Thank god for the West Africa Rescue who took her to a private hospital. She returned home to Canada the next day.
This is a hospital where every thing you can think of concerning health care is available. It is a premier health care provider and dealt with referral cases and also accident cases. It is a teaching hospital and one of the best hospital in the sub region.
Ok
It is a reputable hospital in Ghana and also West Africa.
Cool place and saving life's
Teaching hospital. The biggest in Ghana
All health care services is assured here at low cost
The best doctors
ATM MACHINES of most banks are available. MOST importantly, i was delivered a 7 month baby here.thanks to the Doctors
This is one of the few places in Ghana where serious surgeries can be undertaken (in theory). The problem is that the place doesn't inspire confidence. Although some of the doctors may be good, the place is ramshackle and severely lacks in organization (Still a paper filing system for example)
This hospital is among my list of Poorest Performing healthcare institution in Ghana.
My recommendation:
- Most of the staff need periodic training in Interpersonal Skills.
- Key stakeholders need to re-evaluate processes that aren't working and make changes.
- Actually work on improving their public image.
