Must do tourist experience! The grounds are beautiful, tons of plants, trees and animals. Can go on a chocolate tour, and buy some to go home with. Stay for the buffet lunch! Call for reservations so you won't be disappointed.

I visited Belmont Estate a couple weeks ago and just now opened their Pure Grenada chocolate. It's like heaven! One of the best chocolates I've ever had. The staff is super friendly and helpful. A must see.
(I took one star off because of the birds in cages, that i don't really support)

The classic tour was decent, although a bit more expensive than most other local tourist destinations (13EC per person). It primarily focused on fermentation and drying of cocoa beans. Excellent views from the restaurant, but I was underwhelmed by the food overall and the service felt indifferent - we never had our water glasses refilled, even after asking specifically.

Such a great place to visit. The food is a wonderful exhibition of local cuisine with fresh, aromatic spices and a good variety to chose from. The eating venue is a gorgeous open space with attentive service. The chocolate tour is fascinating with a mix of old and new techniques on display. The chocolate is expensive but amazing and nuanced like a fine wine. There are also some animals that are a fun bonus. The kids love visiting here and there are plenty of sights along the way. Its quite a drive to get here but its totally worth it.

Everyone is extremely friendly. The bean to bar tour was great, and the chocolate is amazing. It's definitely worth checking out. Make sure to call a few days before to get a reservation for the tour.

Nice place for lunch but don't expect to see any chocolate or nutmeg processing - there are more interesting places to visit on the island if that's what you are interested in - lunch was very good but we were expecting a lot more from the visit - not just food and tourist shops.

Nice place. We took the tour of the estate and chocolate factory. The guys who do the tour are young and enthusiastic. Chocolates are awesome.

Restaurant was a bit crowded. Though we didn't have lunch on this visit, but they were more than accomodating to specially prepare vegetarian dishes for us.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and live band entertainment every Sunday. It's located on an organic plantation which offers guided tours and there's even a chocolate factory on the premises with free sampling. One of the best experiences on the island, no doubt.

Excellent lunch buffets, wonderful atmosphere and great views. Touring the cocoa plantation and learning about the making of chocolate was a real treat.

My great great grandfather was William Henry Mignon. He was a serial rapist who repeatedly raped an impregnated the indentured servants that worked on this plantation. This is no monument that Grenada should be proud of, unless the tour guides are going to tell the truth about the Mignon family, and their disgusting disposition of exploiting women, during the brutal colonization of Grenada.

Very beautiful plantation on Grenada! Lots of beautiful plants, trees, animals, and history. You can chose to walk around alone or for a small fee with a tour guide. Please be sure to stop and enjoy a five star meal at the restaurant! The service and food it's amazing . Don't forget too try the chocolate monkey!

An informative tour of the facilities. It's neat to see the 200+ year old methods still being utilized effectively. We'd quite recommend it. When you are there, walk through the garden on the other side of the main building. There are labelled gardens and trees, and a spotter's guide for moths, butterflies, and worms.

Had an excellent value 3 course lunch. The chocolate monkey smoothie was delicious and the food and service were first class. We all had a great time and were made to feel very welcome by all the staff.

We loved the "tree to bar" tour. Got to see, touch and taste cocoa fresh from the tree. Followed the process to drying and roasting. Then a very tasty sample of the finished products.

Stayed for lunch. Buffet was very good - curried mutton witn rice & peas for me. Chocolate cake for dessert was light and very good, as was nutmeg ice cream.

A "must do" on Grenada 😎

I was born here in this house which belonged to my grandfather, William Henry Mignon, former Captain of a West Indies Cricket Team, on September 1, 1936. I was christened Christine Valerie Preudhomme. It was a wonderful place to grow up as a child. Just beautiful grounds and rose gardens. An old demolished stable was a particularly beautiful part of the rose garden. My grandmother Liris Mignon loved roses. On the hill above, there was a water tank which supplied the two story house. Kitchen was semi-detached at that time with a covered walkway leading to it. Lots of Mahogany trees as I recall and a long winding driveway leading to the house. A LOVELY PLACE TO LIVE! GRAND OLD ESTATE!

Just a fun out of the way place. Great tour showing the chocolate making process from bean to bar. Really cool. Also a wonderful restaurant with an excellent buffet lunch. Fish, chicken, stewed beef, great salads, and everything was local, farm-to-table. Will definitely go back again and again. Try the chocolate monkey - a drink made with their own in house chocolate and local bananaswonderful! I'm a fan.
