Beautiful views from our eco-friendly cottage. 5 minute walk to a fairly secluded beach--be warned, there are WAVES (at least in winter). It is not the calm, serene Grand Anse. A little longer walk into town through a fun beach path. The bus station in town is easy to navigate most anywhere you want to go on the island and cheap! ($2-5 US depending on how far) Kate and Uwe are excellent cooks and offer breakfast and dinner that you can reserve in advance. Expect around $20-25 for dinner mains if you decide to eat with them. No AC, but with the cool ocean breeze, you don't need it. There is a nice little cooking area for essentials you can make your own food from the supermarkets in town. Private outdoor shower was fun! Everything was clean and in order. An issue with our fridge was very quickly taken care of within the day. Locals are always helpful and friendly if you ever get lost or need help.

Wir haben zwei tolle Wochen mit bester Versorgung und Gastfreundschaft dank Kate und Uwe verlebt.Ein Ort der Ruhe und Erholung. Gerne wieder.

This is as local an experience as you can have while in a comfortable environment. It is a true eco lodge with a tropical surf shack appeal in beautiful natural surroundings. It is quite a drive outside of town but man what a drive. If you are not looking for luxury and you enjoy being surrounded by nature then this is the place for you.
