The Youth Training Center Nasau is a Ministry of Youth and Sports run facility that targets to give unemployed and school drop outs youths second chance training opportunity through the provision of vocational training in the areas of Organic Agriculture and Carpentry.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports works in close collaboration with OISCA International, a Japanese NGO in the delivery of organic training, and with the Fiji National University in the delivery of a Trade Certificate Level III in Carpentry.
Started in 1970, it has evolved to become a boarding institution. Located in the banks of the Sigatoka River, the facility is a one of a kind. With its peaceful surrounding, it provides the perfect space for soul searching and rebuilding lost opportunities.
The school is about 6 kilometers from the Sigatoka Town. It is serviced with public transportation. Bus fare to and from Nasau is 0.70cents and taxi fares range from $7.00 to $8.00.
The facility has an organic farm , a poultry farm, a piggery farm and a bee keeping site.
On arrangements, some of the facilities at the Center can be hired which is a source of government revenue that is collected at the Center.response / report this review
