Room – F
There was fresh blood on our sheets the first night. We arrived around 9pm due to our flight being delayed and then the only road to the hotel being shut down, it getting dark driving on narrow roads, and pouring down rain. We were immediately ushered to dinner as it would close at 10pm and by the time we saw the blood on the sheets, there was no one to contact at the resort as all of the staff had left. We threw the nasty sheets on the floor and slept laying on beach towels the first night.
Food – D
Food is terrible and it’s the same menu EVERY day. There are several options on the menu and we tried a bunch but it was not good at all. There is only one restaurant at the resort and there are no restaurants on the island that you would want to go to (they are filthy and will likely make you sick) so there are no other options. Oh, and they charge standard US prices for the food at the resort.

2.5-3 hour drive from the airport and main port on a winding 1 lane each way road in disrepair. There is nothing nearby to see outside of the resort, no restaurants to visit, no cultural sights, nothing. Only redeeming quality is that it is on the beach so that is nice but you can get that anywhere.
Grounds – B-
The grounds are quite pretty and manicured. The beach is fake with 1 inch of sand on top of clay/concrete so looks pretty but you wouldn’t lay out on it.
Staff – A
Very friendly staff and very helpful
Additional notes: Internet was $15/hr! Also, we had to leave 2 days into a 5 day stay due to an illness and the advice from the resort that we should not go to a hospital on the island unless there is absolutely no other option. We flew home and the hotel refused to refund any of our money. They first blamed the website we booked through but upon returning, the website was willing to refund the money but needed confirmation from the hotel. Many calls to the hotel later and we find out that the hotels “cancellation policy” states no refunds. Disappointing that we couldn’t come to an amicable solution especially since they didn’t even have us in their system when we arrived even though we booked months ahead.

Watch out for Stingrays!!! Beautiful place, however, the white sands/mangrove swamp is a prime spot for Sting Ray, especially during high tides and they are out in the swimming areas in 1 feet of water! I learned this the hard way while taking a morning walk at 9am ..had to be rushed to Raki Raki hospital where they treated me with antibiotics and 4 shots of painkillers.

At the hospital, they mentioned they've treated past travelers from the same hotel/beach areas YET the hotel fails to post a sign to warn people. Not to mention the hotel FAILS to carry any wheelchair at all for medical or emergencies for elderly people as the resort is literally built on a slope and has elevations. My wheelchair was 4 "locals" who hauled my screaming body to the parking lot. If this was USA or Australia, a lawsuit would be pending by now.

On top of this, the mgr was totally rude and we were over charged. Will NOT stay EVER at this hotel nor recommend anyone for reasons mentioned above. This Hotel is only after your $$$ ..nothing more, nothing less.

Highly recommend Tanoa hotel which is also in Raki Raki (extremely friendly and accommodating hotel).

Beautiful location and views; bumpy
dirt road after turn off but no need to leave after arriving. Gourmet cuisine from chef Shon. Nice pool and beach access. Great service and lots of activities. Great value. Hated leaving.

Sean the GM was rude arrogant and totally rubbish. No facilities for disabled patrons and when making it clear wasn't happy he initially told me to go somewhere else. Steep pathways not to OHS standards and rooms a long way from reception. When booking was made perhaps it may have been the right thing to do and tell us upfront there was NO DISABLED FACILITIES. When this guy wasn't getting his way by standing over me and being aggressive he suggested we go somewhere else. Even had his reception call another hotel and check. HOW DISGUSTINGLY RUDE TO IGNORE DISABLED PEOPLES DIGNITY AND RIGHTS. WE MAY ONLY BE A SMALL PART OF HIS TOTAL GUESTS BUT WE ARE PEOPLE FIRST AND CUSTOMERS SECONDLY.

What a BEAUTIFUL place to stay! My wife and I took our honeymoon here, and after flying into Nadi and getting the 2.5 hour car ride up to the resort, found this area to be the most beautiful part of the island.

Every day there's something to do, put on by the resort, whether its taking a trip to one of the local villages, going to the hills to the natural water slide (into the heart shaped pool), snorkeling trip, DIVING (Rakiraki area has some of the best reefs), kayaking, or just laying out in the sun, Wananavu makes it happen.

The staff are beyond friendly, stay includes free breakfast (and a good one at that), meals are great, and not too bad on the wallet, there's wifi all over the resort (F$75 for 7 days).

The only problem is that the resort is a bit isolated, unlike some of the resorts closer to Nadi. You'll be stuck at the resort, but you can always catch a cab into the town of Rakiraki where you can go to the market (not too much else to do in the town). This isolation is more than made up for by the beauty of this part of the island, it's much better than other parts, and there are trips put on by Wananavu so you don't really need to do anything else.

Oh, and try the kava if you haven't before. I've become an addict.

Beautiful rooms and relaxing resort. The lunch and dinner menu is fantastic. Watch out for the happy hour too, because the bar serves up plenty of amazing cocktails!

My husband and I got married here a little over 9 years ago. We had a traditional Fijian wedding complete with a local Fijian choir. What an AMAZING experience!! We want to return for our 10 yr anniversary in February 2017 to celebrate. We stayed in the honeymoon suite but honestly I think we would have been happy with ANY of the bungalows. I'm a flight attendant so I was not interested in a large resort type atmosphereI stay in places like these ALL the time. If you are looking for something a little more intimate and off the beaten path, this is the place!
