worst place to go to.. staff and owners has no respect for their guests beach so dirty.. couldn't even swim because of so much debris and reef broken pieces.. got several cut from just going in the water

Vatia is a real nice and quiet place to stay at but don t go there if you want to do any activities or stuff because it is pretty limited

Excellent place to relax and chill out. Staff was veey accommodating to help out with own bbq or fire. Alisa was outstanding. Low cost so please don't expect a resort like accommodation but if you like outdoors and like to fish, snorkel etc you will pay low price compared to nadi. The road to the place is not great but once you get there it feels very relaxing. Philip and sneh

If you're looking to get away from Everything, this is itvery remote. Right by the sea between Ba and Tavua. Probably the only place for picnics in Ba. Quaint.

Unfortunately this place did not impress me at all. First of all its not a RESORT. It was once a rundown resort brought and changed into a self sustainable farm which sits right on the water front. great views and location apart from the dreadful ride into it along a private road. which they are trying to change.
I did feel somewhat sorry for them as they are trying but I really struggle with this placed. I don't know what annoyed me more , the rubbish around the waterfront of which Tyres were a part of the decoration apparently these are considered eco friendly, sorry thats not my idea of self sufficiency or Eco friendly, especially when they are in the water. NOT A GOOD LOOK. You can't go snorkelling out front cause the water is terrible.
Our accommodation leaked in the bathroom, no hot water, and solar energy. Solar engird very good however i lost it when a very large centipede crawled across our floor into the bathroom.
the main communal area had a mouse and the kitchen was filthy which a sign clearly asks visitors to clean up after themselves something which clearly got lost in translation.
I could go on and on but wont because as much as I hated it, there were many who loved it. so it will come down to personal taste and likes.response / report this review -

An amazing place to relax and do nothing. Great Fijian food. Wonderful hosts that make a great holiday an experience. Yep that's all the boxes ticked.

Ein bodenständiges Resort mit einfachen Unterkünften und ohne große Infrastruktur herum. Das Essen aus der Küche schmeckt gut und ist meist ordentlich zubereitet. Lediglich an einem Tag wurde uns zum Frühstück bereits angeschimmeltes Toast serviert, was aber sofort kulant getauscht wurde. Die Preise sind fair (3$FJ für 1,5l Wasser, Abendessen ab 10$FJ) gestaltet. Die Bettwäsche war zwar gereinigt, wer lupenreine Wäsche schätzt, wird hier aber nicht glücklich.
Der Strand ist besonders am Wochenende bei der lokalen Bevölkerung beliebt und stark frequentiert.
Das Projekt ist sehr einfach gehalten und wir hatten doch eine schöne Zeit, Luxus findet man in anderen Resorts jedoch eher.response / report this review -

I must say the staff were extremely hospital and inviting but my stay had been rather challenging. I was surprised by the road condition and so would advice you to use a four-wheel drive.; The beach front was covered with silt even though the sunset was amazing. There was no sign of any live coral ( so no snorkelling) or sea shells expect a few gastropods which stuck to the rocks desperately avoiding turbid waters. The toilet had a huge spider and the floor was covered with ants, most of the time, not forgetting the child-size beds. I must say the lack of clean fresh water tested me the most. If you are my type who is conscious of cleanliness and comfort, then think again. However, my husband was highly relaxed by the laid back atmosphere and the vast diversity of bird life. Finally, this is a budget accommodation, and so I should not be too judgemental.
