While the images of the water look absolutely stunning online; the real thing is unfortunately very different - a man made lagoon that was dirty green with rubbish floating around, and the beaches (or crushed coral pretending to be sand) not particularly enticing either.

The meal/beverage prices were exorbitant (which is annoying given the resort is so far removed from anywhere else), with activities also costly. Gratuity was invited at every angle despite everything being so expensive. As breakfast was included in the rate, we noted large numbers of guests stowing breakfast food to take back to their rooms, which seemed to support our view of the extreme costs. Advice for anyone travelling to Momi Bay - take your own container to breakfast.

As the resort is expansive, golf buggies (and there are a lot of them) are used to transport guests around; the paths are narrow and staff generally travel at speed. It will surely only be a matter of time before a guest (choosing to walk) gets run over. At night, flashing lights should be displayed.

On the positive side, the rooms were very nice and the staff absolutely lovely.

I don't think I would return to the Marriott Momi Bay - I was disappointed from the moment we arrived. It would have been better value for money holidaying in our own country.
