My wife and I have been to Mana Island Resort twice now and have enjoyed both trips. The second trip was for our Wedding which presented a set of new challenges when taking a trip oversees. The island was recovering from a Cyclone months earlier and the film crew from Survivor had only just left. We were a little let down at the time but I think we would still return. The Island is perfect for families and the people are great with kids. From memory at the time, if you stayed more than 5 days then the locals would take care of your children for up to 6 hours a day free of charge. Now I have a child, I think that is a very attractive offer. Some of the rooms are dated and if you want anything in a hurry, chose another destination as Fiji time is a real thing and they hurry for no one!

Amazing staff so helpful at any turn. Really really enjoyed island hopping. Despite boat running out of gaz. Really recommend for chilled vibe by the sea and good pricing.

Great snorkeling right off the beach. Two great beaches on either side of the island mean that you can always be out of the wind.

Check out the fish at the end of the pier at night. We actually saw a shark there.

The only slightly negative comments would be the buffet. It is a little expensive for the $. But that seems standard for Fijian resorts. Cafe and bistro food was fine however. There is also a great backpackers bar just down the beach.

Nice place, rooms are clean and have been renovated in the past few years. You are free to explore most of the island. The team are all friendly and genuine. If you have kids, the kids club looks good. Food is good and there is a good variety available. Internet is fast and WiFi coverage is good. The ping is not great but manageable for most things.

Developed and spacious resort. Has alot of activities to cater for all ages (snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle boarding, jet skis, bicycle hire and water sports). Also has a number of options for food (mainly resort buffet/diner-cafe style food options and has a spa/massage house.

Great beaches and snorkelling areas to check out the marine life (snorkelling gear can be hired for no cost) + an awesome lookout point to check out the entire island.

Terrific property and boatloads of water sports gears for free. Lovely food, too! I had poached Mahi Mahi, braised Spanish mackerel and some delightful veggies.

Had a great time at this resort. Staff are all very friendly and the island is absolutely beautiful. Great lookout where you can take pictures and see the entire island. Food isn't crazy expensive, but definitely resort prices. The buffets were probably the worst part, a little below expectations, but by no means bad. Fun activities like snorkeling and kayaking are free, and you can pay for some other guided activities like toobing and wind surfing. Overall a great experience and would recommend.

Great Location, Amazing people and the accommodation.

Disappointing food and poor management policies. E.g 1. Pool towels need to be returned by 5.30pm every night, pick up at 830am again Even if you're there for a week annoying.
E.g. 2. The management discourages (in the form of a 2m high fence and numerous guarded gates) access to the local village next door. primarily to encourage food and drinks money to be spent locally to the resort.
E.g. 3. mostly pizza and fried unhealthy fried food. Not much fresh seafood option which we expected.
We ended up going to the local village next door, better value fresher food .. thoroughly recommended.

Overall we have a good time, I'd give it 2.5 but not 3 stars.

A resort island with plenty of room to find a hide away. Friendly local staff, expansive beaches, walks and watersports. Mana Island has some decent reef and plenty of fish to look at, take your snorkeling gear.
