My family and I decided to get our open water diver certification during our Christmas holiday vacation. The staff was friendly and made the experience fun and exciting. We saw turtles, sharks and barracuda. I felt safe diving with Collin and his staff. I would love to visit again!! Vinaka

    New Divers - Be Warned

If you are a new diver or diving after a long time, and needing a refresher course.
KORO SUN DIVE is NOT the place to do it. Can’t believe they have not lost someone yet.

There way of a refresher course is less than 5 minute brief on the boat on your way to the deepest dive possible.

I was buddied up with a couple, in which the guy started hyperventilating 5 minutes in to the dive, the instructor left myself and his partner around 10-15 meters in the water. As I and the girl(amateur as well)was not provided with a refresher course(after requesting couple of times), we were only focusing on our breathing and other vitals like equalising. In the course of this confusion, me and the girl looking at each giving ourselves support kept on sinking further down. By the time, the instructor came back to get us, we were hitting 60 metres depth, which Is considered as deep diving and the air gets toxic.

When I came back up on the boat, I had started bleeding from my nose due to the difference in pressure. After 4 days of the dive, I’m still recovering from the stress of my inflamed sinuses.

Instructors are nice, but not nearly experienced to handle the care required with new divers.
Management is not professional dealing with these type of situations and more focused on the money, they are making on a single dive.

The knowledgeable and helpful staff, quality boats and gear, and amazing dive sites all make Koro Sun Dive a really top-notch dive outfit. The dive master Colin Skipper knows the area inside and out and explains it all with an infectious enthusiasm. Hot tea and cookies make even the surface interval between dives great.

Such an adventure on the ocean! Weather and sea was rough but we took the chance of spoting hammerhead sharks anyways. Fun and bumby boat ride and great exploration of the deep blue looking for this weard creatures. Unfortunately they were not there that day. However we saw white tip reef sharks, grey sharks, plenty of big fishes, black tale barracudas and a bench of tunas. Looking forward to go back and get hammered!

If you're thinking of coming to Fiji to dive, look no further than Korosun Dive.

Colin and Jeanine are fantastic people, and emailed us before we booked accommodation with all the details about the area. Highly recommend booking through them and not through an agency or third party.

The actual diving was amazing. We saw hammerheads with Colin three days in a row at "dreamhouse". Colin and his team - Mr. T and Trevor were very knowledgeable and experienced. This was great as I only just started diving. Overall, Korosun Dive made this trip the best holiday I've ever had!
