Worst service ever provided. Full on air conditioner on cold season and they even charge of blankets and pillow. Where in the world is the rule you have to take your shoes off in the ship.It felt like we were in a cold ice box without equipment. No special care for the disabled people. The bus trip are even the worse, no space for passengers to sit on the bus and the driving skill sucks. I would like the company to provide better service and care for its customers

The crew is amazing. They do care about their passengers.
The owners however, do not, and overcharge on everything. Shipping inter island is very very expensive, sometimes is costs as much as whatever it is you're shipping. Quite often there are damages to goods shipped.
The LP2 is literally a poop hole. It smells of human waste. LP3 is infested with bedbugs in the carpeting.
They let people sleep in the walking aisle which is against regulation and could be very dangerous in the likely event of an emergency.
Fly if their are flights to the island you are going to.
This is SO unfortunate for SO many islands and people in Fiji. Definitely a poor excuse of business and service to the people.

Its clean, cheap and safe to travel in. The sitting area and sleeping quarters are very comfortable. Luggage and baggage are safely stored. Plenty space for trucks and cars, which are properly secured.

A good location mostly for those who work and live in Kadavu. Close to the wharf. With the big and bright sign board, it is noticeable.

Prices are quite high for minimal services.

Cleanliness onboard the Lomaviti princess V is appalling at times. Some of the shortcomings include; lack of basic cleanliness in the kitchen/dining area, no hand was soap nor toilet paper in the toilets, etc.

Punctuality of the service seems to depend on either the weather or how full the vessel is with passengers and vehicles.

Overall value for money is quite low because one is not allowed to; charge their mobile phone, pay a FJD 1 fee for even using boiled water and for the ticket price paid, even the toilets aren't cleaned nor stocked. The customer service from on-board staff is direct and very basic.

Accomodation onboard includes; first class, second class seating and cabins on board. The first class seating is pretty much same as second with the main difference being the good 'view' on offer. 1st class seating is in the forward part of the vessel. Depending on your budget, cabins can be quite expensive and offer a 4 bed cabin in excess of FJD 200 per person/berth travelling from Suva - Taveuni (May 2018)

Tickets can be bought from the on-board ticket office starting 2-3 hours before departure. There seems to be no systematic boarding procedure as vehicle and foot passengers are loaded on the vessel side by side. This therefore involves dodging moving lorries with your luggage and children. Hence, be alert!

One should consider bringing their own food and bedding when travelling. However, a catering service and eating area does exist, these tend to offer little choice. The evening dinner service usually includes a choice from 2 hot chicken/mutton with rice options or freshly made ham and lettuce sandwiches. Vegetarian options seem absent from the menu. There also is a fridge with cold soft drinks available on board. Hot meal option costs FJD 10 (May 2018)

All in all, consider this mode of transport to the outer islands only if budget requires you to do so.The service does reach you to the outer islands in one piece but makes for quite an experience!

In May 2018, sailings from Suva - Taveuni - Savusavu are usually on Monday and Friday evenings at around 18:00 (this particular departure departed Suva at 19:15).

Some staff are quite ignorant and costomer service could use some work. They do a lot of good work to provide efficient services but perhaps a smile and understanding would not hurt.
