Amazing island, approximately 200 residents. Very tranquil and not alot to do but unwind and swim in the warm and amazingly clear water.

Tropical paradise as you would expect it to be. Worth a walk up the peak for the stunning views but beware it is fairly steep and hot work. Take water.

We went there in November 2017 on the Golden Princess. This island is a perfect piece of paradise. The water is the most beautiful shade of blue and the white sands are so clean. The people are so beautiful and the children coming out of school all in uniform were a treat to see. Their homes are humble but clean. Plenty of shady trees and palms. It was the most natural and best place on the whole trip.

Visited Dravuni Island in November 2017. The locals are very friendly. The scenery is picture perfect. There is a walking track to the highest point of the island. Enjoyed the experience. Recommend a visit to this island Paradise.

I visited by cruise ship in Jan of 2017, and I agree with Joel but would add more about the beautiful beach. To many visitors the beach is the most important part of the Dravuni experience. It is about 20 meters of fine sand that separates the water from a lovely green jungle (palm trees, etc.), and it seems to stretch a mile or so south from the tender port. Up until about 11 AM we were in the shade because of the close by trees. The clear water is a warm shallow bay that is very much alive with sea grass and corals. There are rentals for snorkeling gear at US $10 for the day. It is a little difficult to snorkel due to the shallow water, and we found ourselves in only 30 cm. of water at some places making it difficult to keep from damaging the coral. Even 200 meters out one could stand up in waist deep water. Most of the fish that we saw were quite small, brightly colored tropical fish. This was one of the top experiences of our 27 day cruise.

If you have no issues with moblity, I highly suggested hiking up to the top of the hill on this island. It is not a long walk, but you will be walking uphill of course. It is worth the climb to the top to take some spectacular photos of the other end of the island as well as your cruise ship docked out onto the sea blue waters. This is a very picturesque island so be prepared to take plenty of pictures and be sure to take along an extra battery.

If you are going to buy some souvenirs, ask for the price and come back hours later--some vendors lower their prices when the day draws to a near.

There are boat rides for $10 and other services such as getting your hair braided or getting massages. There are drinks and snack foods available for sale as well. They take not only Pacific franc (the currency in Vanahuatu), but also Australian, Fijian, New Zealand, and US dollars.
