Amazing place.
Its 4km from the main roadway
There are a car of the resort to bring you there or you can take a taxi.
In the resort you can find a pool in shape of foot.

This is my first visit in 10 years. Prior to that I have stayed here many, many times since about 1976 or so.
There have generally been many, many improvements over the years and I think they really do improve the resort as a whole.
The rooms have a ceiling fan in each room, but if you take sea view Bure's 7 - 11 or 12 - 23 up on the hill the breeze comes in directly off the sea, cooling you down. The heat is not as bad on the coast as say in Nadi or Denarau and the spot really is beautiful.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful (genuinely). On arrival there is a very warm greeting, making you feel very welcome indeed!
The rooms have been upgraded and maintained. There does seem to be an Ant problem, but there were no live ants in the room. We took our own mosquito coils for sitting outside in the evening and in the room (just in case).
There are daily activities on the board and there is an activity in the evening.
The pool is nice and cool for a dip. There is snorkelling gear available for loan and there are also kayaks for usage. There is Coral not far off the beach and they do have a marine reserve for looking after the reef and regeneration etc. The snorkelling is good - fish and coral to view not far off the beach.
There is a dive shop and dive master at the resort - we did not use it.
Breakfast is included, its simple but better than some offerings we have had in Fiji. Afternoon tea is included.
We did not each in the restaurant every night, the prices were ok for Fiji, (about 1/3 of the Denarau Hotels) and the menu changed daily, choice of 2 or 3 mains or a buffet. Special requests can been made for meals.
I would recommend Crusoe's if you a wanting a quiet holiday, a good rest and get away from it all. There are no TV's in the Bure, there is power and lots of hot water and good pressure and its clean. It's not a swanky 5* resort, but it does not need to or try to be. The beds are clean and comfortable as is the linen. It's simple, relaxing, the gardens are well taken care of, the views from the room out to the sea is straight out of a brochure, the sunsets are fantastic.
The resort is 4km off the main road so a rental car is handy, but not needed if you just want to stay and relax.
We will be back sooner for another stay, this time longer than 3 days. Thank you to everyone, Steve

My wife and I came here on our Honeymoon. The staff were fantastic and really made the stay great. My wife and I don't like anything fancy and the resort suited us well. We had the Deluxe Seaside Bure which I highly recommend. The safe didn't work and the inside shower looked less than welcoming, but the deck next to the Beach and outside private shower more than made up for it. We will be returning, tho perhaps not for an entire week this time. If you look for things that are wrong with the resort you do not need to look hard, but if you take Crusoe's Retreat for what it is you will find a piece of paradise.

Really nice, authentic Fiji, frendly staff, could be cleaner though and poor breakfast. But AMAZING location! Top Tip: look for Mary, the massaage woman on the beach for very good, cheap massage- She.s amazing!

The coral coast lives up to its name at Crusoe's. Truly a retreat, you are away from it all; including television and internet unless you provide it yourself. The bures need updating and bugs were a problem during our stay, but the staff is nice and ready to assist and clean with smiles on their faces. The beach is beautiful and the snorkeling is unreal.

The food is alright. My favorite food item was the homemade banana muffins that were provided with our daily free breakfast. During our stay, the lunch and dinner menus were minimal; and for my husband and I, got old very quickly. However, the minimal food opinions were to be expected with the size of Crusoe's. For what was offered, food is slightly overpriced but accommodations are underpriced, making a fair trade.

If staying at Crusoe's, a visit to the spa is a MUST. Prices are very fair and the massage therapists are highly trained and excellent at their jobs. The spa is clean, smells great without inducing a nauseating headache despite using incense, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and professional. Besides the beautiful beach and snorkeling, the spa is the second best thing about Crusoe's.

The driver that transported my husband and I to Crusoe's from Nadi airport pressured my husband and I to purchase items at a local gift shop before going to the retreat. Next time we go to Fiji, we will be renting a car so that we aren't heckled simply for being tourists. While at the resort, no one is heckled and you are treated as family.

In short, the stay at Crusoe's is so relaxing that you'll soon forget all of your daily worries and become one with the sun and sand. A perfect place for honeymooners who love adventure and can do without 5 star accommodations, or a family who is looking to reconnect with nature and each other, Crusoe's offers the best rates for unforgettable memories. If you're looking for a relaxing retreat away from everything, Crusoe's is the place for you. If air conditioning, Wi-Fi, television, and ant-free accommodations are a must for your vacation, Crusoe's is not the place for you.

Fantastic place. Friendly, helpful staff and good basic food, nothing fancy but all very edible. Great, basic accommodation, lots to do or do nothing! Would recommend and would definitely return!

Beautiful place. Bures are lovely and you have a great view out to the water and reef. Staff are so friendly and always smiling. Not expensive to stay. You can go snorkeling or kayaking. Play tennis. Go fishing. Explore the village next door. If you go take chocolates to distribute to the staff and villagers e.g. Favourites.

The resort is nicely situated for snorkelling but unless you are driving, it is difficult to get in and out. Most of the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful but there are some who make you feel everything is too much hard work.
We had two rooms, one in which we were lucky to get more than 1 hot shower between four of us as the system is share with another room, and the other the shower didn't work at all. We made staff aware of this 2 days running but they didn't fix it (easy 5 min adjustment) until the third time, which was the last night.
I asked if there were any gluten free options for the continental breakfast but was told there were none, then treated like a naughty schoolgirl for not advising them when I booked (although I didn't see anywhere to note this). Further, the fruit was great on the first morning but dwindled to tin fruit and watermelon after 3 days. I asked for yoghurt but was told there was none. However they did find some for me for 2 days but then I wasn't offered it after that.
There is also the option to pay by cash to avoid the 4% CC fee and an opt out option of 4% for the village project. When we went to check out, I had already had my CC charged so wasn't able to avoid the fee or the opt out option. As we had withdrawn cash, this whole episode cost us about AUD$ 120 more

Very remote location with difficult access along a poorly maintained dirt road. Airport transfers are expensive if you don't want to drive. Once there you feel captive as it's so inconvenient to try to get anywhere else. Accommodation felt overpriced for what you get and the only place to eat is at the resort restaurant which has a very limited daily menu and is overpriced. The location is pleasant enough and most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Activities are limited although the beach and coral area offshore are lovely. However I would definitely not return here again and overall would not recommend it to anyone.

Yes there are mosquitos but take some aerogard and spray yourself, it's not that hard and you will find the pesky critters at all the resorts in Fiji anyway.

Service was good and friendly, especially the Fijians

There is no where else to eat once you get there unless you want to pay $50 for a taxi to get you to Sigatoka and even then I wouldn't trust most of the food there. The meals are very good but for around $40 per meal, it is more expensive than the accommodation. Beers are $8.50 and cocktails around $20 each Fijian $, couple of $ cheaper during happy hour. If you bring your own alcohol drinks you must consume it at your room.

It is very expensive once you are there.. A 600ml coke is $7.00

Guests are discouraged from mixing with the Fijian staff or visiting the near bye villages. I guess this is because the villages sell food. There is no security risk going to the villages. They are very friendly and helpfull. Most can speak english.

If you walk east up the beach the village is very close (100m to the shop) A lady there does massages on the beach for $40 an hour.

It is a beautiful place for holiday. It is about 5 kilometers away from the main road. You can live a hermit life there, pampered by the warm-heart staff members and plenty of well-organised activities. You feel you are welcomed to the retreat. Foods are superb and not expensive.

As it is surrounded by trees, ants are running around everywhere, in the sitting room, toilet, porch, and bed chest

We lived in a room, not well furnished. The fridge was of very old age. No TV. Internet connection was $10 per hour. The sea beach is not suitable for swimming nor snorkeling.

We paid $60 (about 32 US dollars) per person to be ferried out of the sea breaker to snorkel for one hour, about 1 nautical mile from the Retreat. However, we did not see fish and the corals were banal. Very disappointing.
