We are two adults who had never rode before and we have spent an awesome afternoon with Virki and her horses. We had booked a few days prior to our visit a two-hour ride through the forest. The stables are very conveniently situated not far from the center of Äkäslompolo (about 5 minutes by car). She welcomed us and lent us all the equipment (headgear, gloves and boots), took the time to explain everything we had to know and to check that we could safely ride our horses. The horses are very healthy and well behaved, the path we rode on was very quiet and went through a lovely part of the forest. We would definitly do it again !

Olin viikon kestävällä vaelluksella, maisemallisesti ei ollut mikään elämys, pelkkää puskaa ja hirveästi meni aikaa aamuisin siihen että sai odottaa että kaikki saivat hevoset valmiiksi vaellusta varten. Lounaspaikat olivat tee-se-itse paikkoja, olisi mukavaa jos reittien varrella olisi ravintoloita. Ylläksen maisemia varten en menisi tuonne jos ei ratsastusreittejä muutettaisi. Vetäjä ei ollut myöskään kovin lämminhenkinen.
