We stayed in a room that wasn't yet renovated, though the hotel plans to renovate the rest of the rooms soon. Nevertheless, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the hotel has sleds to borrow. You can pull your kids around town in the winter - our kids loved this. The children's 'play room' has moved around the hotel in recent years and it's small and not very well stocked. Most of the toys were broken. The location in downtown Rovaniemi is perfect, as you can walk to restaurants and all the major tour operators. Bus #8 conveniently stops nearby. You can use this bus to get to Santa Claus Village (3.90 Euros one way).

Excellent location! Breakfast was also nice. Buses to safaris come and pick you up directly at the reception if you mention this hotel in your safaris reservation. Beds are also very comfy. We had a very pleasant stay!
