This place offers a scrumptious variety of baked goods and sweets. I went to the bakery shop but there's also a cafe of the same name next door. The decor suggests that it is one of those places with long history and reputation. Maybe it was not their busy hour when I visited, the staff was extremely helpful and patient in describing every item on display in English upon my request. The shop is located between the main shopping district and the design district. One can easily get there by bus which stops right outside.
Very nice café with the a breakfast buffet and menu options. We tried the thousand leaves cake. I would recommend it.
Lovely historic feel to the place. Waitress was great and helped us with the Finnish menu.
Found this little gem after walking around Helsinki & discovered it is the oldest Patisserie/bakery in Finland est 1852. The Budapest is a must as well as the Napoleon. Service staff is very friendly. There is a lunch crowd, but well worth the wait.
Cakes & coffee are both delicious. Great location and super nice waiters! Worth while!
Lovely cafe. I had the princess cake and it was delicious! Coffee was alright as well.
One of the classics in the city. Wonderful pastries and extremely delicious lunch table. Service is friendly.
This has been long my favorite place for afternoon coffee, but today I had such a bad experience that I won't be going back anymore. I came in on my birthday for a Budapest pastry and some coffee, but unfortunately they had run out of the pastry. No biggie I ordered some ice cream instead, well that was finished too. Whatever just the coffee then, after a while we received the coffee but as soon as we took the first sips we noticed that it was very dilute and weak. The next ten minutes we tried to get waitresses and waiters attention but they were too busy in the back room or cleaning the lunch buffet table. Finally when I had enough I just went to the counter despite their "table service" policy and asked for a check. I mentioned the coffee being wishy-washy, but I just got some lame excuse that maybe their coffee machine's settings could have been a bit off. So in a sense the waiter admitted their fault but didn't react in anyway. I ended up paying the full price and stormed out of the joint.
A classic in Helsinki.
Amazing cakes, pastries, quiches and other baked goods. Very good cardamom rolls, and a delicious potato bread. A must-visit in the city centre!
A perfect cafe for lunch. Have something from the menu here. I think the bakery is closed on the weekend so I will have to make a special trip there one fine day!
Good cappuccino and pastries. Gets busy and very full at times
The oldest bakery in Finland, founded in 1852. Brunch option. Small waiting time due to the restaurant being full on Sunday, make sure to reserve prior. Very pleasant atmosphere, one of the nicest bakeries in Helsinki.
Old school Helsinki spot with sandwiches and baked goods. They have a minimal brunch buffet and good coffee. Located at the edge of the design district.
Nice breakfast with tons of variety and great products.
The plase is crowded in the mornings so go early and grab a table.
The breakfast buffet has normal filter coffee.
Not as special as I expected and quite expensive. But very good service.
