Fantastic museum and cafe, great place to learn about every day life in medieval Turku
So interesting and a fascinating way to depict history. It was an amazing experience, most of the staff was friendly, and the gift shop was adorable. The exhibit "Bony Tales" was a definite highlight. I recommend you take a guided tour, but walking around can be a great way to spend an afternoon.
The archeological part of the museum is great and deserves five stars and a visit on its own. The modern art section, well, there's a Warhol.
Medieval museum was interesting. The current art exhibition wasn't too exciting, but at least there were a few nice architectural parts of the old building to see
If you like history, it's a nice place to visit. Plenty of items and other cool things to look at. I'm a bit of history buff so I spent like 2 hours just reading the all the things and looking at all the things. I didn't even get to see all of it, because I had to leave early.
Great brunch with smooth jazz playing in the background. The best part was definitely the dessert selection which included some of the M-bakery's great cakes
Nice mix of modern art and archeology. They are still digging out old buildings, bones etc. Lots of information about Turku's history presented in a way that's easy and fun to follow.
Lovely coffee shop. Modern interior design with friendly staff.
This museum has two parts: a historical one, where archaeological findings are presented, concerning life in Turku in the past; and an arts collection, with permanent and temporary exhibits. A good place to learn history and to admire paintings, collages, sculptures and watch films.
The museum has a nice souvenir shop and a coffee shop serving brunch.
Chance to the visit Old Turku under the ground. Old building and things dug up by archeologists.
Fabulous lunch service. Two different museums. Extraordinary surroundings.
This is a great museum. I like that it had two parts and it was pretty interesting.
