The castle tour that keeps on giving. We were here a few hours and it felt endless (in a good way). Rooms were a little empty at first with not much to see but it picked up towards the end with rooms being jam packed with things to read, see and learn about. Added bonus, there's a dress up section with real Medieval outfits and a throne room towards the end. It's a little out the city centre, walking there took us 35minutes but one of the best castle tours I've been on.

Turku castle is a great day out! Full of interesting history and my daughter especially loved the dressing up room.

A must-see while in Turku! Amazing old castle, the self guided tour takes about 2 hours. Loved seeing the different rooms and the history behind them!

The most luxurious venue for celebrations of all kinds in Finland. The medieval castle of Turku has been the theatre of the most important historical events in Finnish history.

Today the venue is one of the most popular museums in the country and hosts splendid historical banquets for companies, conferences and all kinds of events.

Truly unique and filled with atmosphere!

The incredible care and detail put into restoring this massive castle fortress to it's modern museum state is evident in every aspect of the building. The translations were well-done and made the history both personal and fascinating.

Very nice place to spend a few hours, lots of winding stairs though. The restaurant had the most fabulous smokey ham soup served up with a dark honey beer. Very nice meal after touring the castle. Castle and restautant staff were very nice and friendly. And it was open on Easter.

Nice place with reasonable ticket prices. It is at least 10 times more spacious than I expected. I recommend a half-day visit. And one can take really nice pictures in there.

Very nicely organised place and there were guides in most room explaining the sections without buying the guided tour.

Only problem caused was this place was much larger than expected. Had to skip last fourth of the castle because it was closing after exploring the place for 5 hours.

Worth every euro you paid. For student, you get half price (€5). We spent 2.5 hours but it wasn't enough. We didn't get to see everything. There is a dressing room where you can dress up as a knight, commoner and try on historical clothes. To get most out of the castle, it's good to read the information card provided in a room. Would love to visit again.
