One of the best hostel in Harar. I highly recommend this hotel

It's a good hotel located right next to Harar Gate. Easy to find. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Price is expensive for ethiopian standards ( prices between 600birr to 1000birr for a single room). Plus: location, free breakfast and internet. Cons: price, stairs only (a lot) and not very helpful staff at reception. Waiters at the bar are lovely.

Mixed experiences.
Poor service. Arrived and water pressure is nonexistent. The toilet doesnt work. When I complained they sent the doorman to fix it. Surprise, it didn’t get fixed. I requested another room and they refused. I asked for money back (I’d been there an hour) they refused (do NOT prepay). Finally they agreed to switch room. They then had the gall to transfer the soap is opened and the towel I used to the new room and to remove the water. Petty petty petty.
WiFi doesn’t work although it connects.
Happily my first, bad, experience was the last bad experience. The breakfast was passable, the new room is comfortable and the location is quite good. Overall it is acceptable.response / report this review -

Neat & tidy Room with hot water except you need to wait like 10mins ,offer free breakfast,
liked painting of walls in my Room,it's a little bit like inventive in style .
Surprisingly WIFI in my room & every corner of the hotel is not what I expected but there was working WIFI with Good speed in my Room & in every corner of the hotel.
Best location, surrounded by Banks,2 state departments of police commissions with in 10 meters &200 meters of distances,
100 meters to an old Historical city gate,&
around 150 meters to main Bus station and to the largest city's Market was what I liked most.
Staffs were friendly & want to help.
As there was not a single hotel that has Elevator/lift in this city,this hotel also doesn't have working Elevator/lift, but it seems they working on it.
seems like new hotel with staffs working to bring better service.
Generally
Generally Better service for cheaper price comparatively.
Go there if you are confused to choose one and You Will find it Better.
I think you may love it , if you are with your family & could rent a room at last floor there is a great traditional Housing with 2bed rooms & a Great view.

This is a really amazing hotel. The hotel is relatively new at the time of this posting. The interior facilities of the hotel are really good and clean. The hotel employees are always helpful and readily available if there are any problems. The hotel isn't too expensive either.
I have to say that the wifi that is available is not reliable all the time.
Other than that i have to say that this is the best hotel in the city right now.response / report this review -

Amazing hotel. This is the only one, out of several I have been to during my visit of City of Harar in January of 2017, that I found to be a top class, yet budget hotel. I believe it is a new building. While City of Harar is classic, the hotel is contemporary, similar to the ones you find in developing countries. I would say the Rooms, washrooms and corridor area are extremely clean. Flat screen along with fast wifi reception are few of the variety of amenities the hotel provides. Hot water is provided 24/7. Food is amazing. Most of all, employees of the hotel are very helpful and amicable. The hotel is located at the heart of the city. I would say it is a budget hotel considering what I paid, 400 Birr (about 17 USD). I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
