I visited historic City of Harar in January 2017. I stayed at Heritage Plaza for few days. The hotel is of Classic architecture. Design of building is beautiful. It is located just outside of the walled city of Harar. It is surrounded by trees. Was recommended to me by a friend who visited the city few years earlier. However, what I found was not up to my expectations. While the rooms are big and furnished with large beds, Bed covers and sheets appear to have stains on them. The room smells mildew. As if all this is not bad enough, the rooms are infested with cockroaches. As a matter of fact I found out that a room few doors away from mine was infested with bed bugs. I saw employees removing the mattress out of the room in order to spray it with anti bed-bug spray. Wifi is horrible. Water? You have to beg for it if you would like to take shower in the morning. Paid 500 Birr (about 22 USD)

Cheap shabby hotel like most in Harar. One need spend only on night in Harar in any case. There aren't much things to see.
