A very nice place to view a natural landscape of the Amhara region. I would say that the facility should be rated at 4 stars. Since the range of the wifi does not reach the rooms.

No doubt one of the nicest hotels in Lalibela, with fabulous view of mountains and valleys, and some of the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen. The restaurant has a nice selection, also for international tastes. One their web-page is it claimed (March 2018) that the rock-cut churches are only a 10 min walk away - that is a very optimistic assessment - most people would need at least 20 min to walk down to the closest churches, and more to walk back up the hill. But tuk-tuks a plentiful and the view it worth it!

Lalibela is a small, but very cultural town. So when you visit, you want to be sure that you're at a hotel that is comfortable and will still keep you in the middle of everything. That's how I felt staying at Panaromic View. It was my first stop in Ethiopia and I liked that I wasn't far from the 11 churches and could walk everywhere. It's good quality, the restaurant has good food and offers free breakfast. I also liked the hospitality for the people at the front desk because my bags didnt make it on my flight and they were very helpful to helping me communicate with the airline until I received my bags. It also has a great view from your balcony. So I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice place with great views from the balconies of the bedrooms. Clean rooms and great showers. The food and drink is overpriced, but kind of understandable given the remote location.

Will not return!

The place has a great mountain/landscape view, however so are so many other hotels in the area.

The food was great and the kitchen staff as well as the shuttle drivers and cleaning staff are amazing.

The detractors are definitely the managing staff, lack enthusiasm for a place that thrives on tourism. I visited Lalibela multiple times and despite the currency exchange giving foreigners a big advantage, the constant effort to gouge tourist on everything convinced me to not return to this hotel in the future.

Pay as you go and don’t let a balance accumulate until checkout. We were told complimentary shuttle service from and to the airport, however during checkout the guy manning the desk gave us two options, pay a private taxi costing upwards of 500 or pay the hotel shuttle 200. Again, the cost is not much but reliability is a necessity.

Another example is coffee being sold for 20 when right outside you can buy it for 5 and help local communities that are friendly.
