Lalibela Hudad Eco-Retreat

  This eco-lodge is exactly what it says. It's very nice for a place that has no electricity. The provide hot water to wash off with and enough blankets to keep warm. I visited in December and was comfortable. The reason for the 3 stars is because even though the service was friendly and food offered was very good, they don't have any prices written down. The lunch they give for trekking up being the equivalent of 15€ (rice and vegbasic). The dinner was even more. It can be a hassle if you don't have enough cash to pay at the end of your stay since the ATM is all the way back down in Lalibela :-/ I highly recommend staying a night. The treks where great. Just beware of prices and try to bring your own food/beer if you are on a budget.
