The staff at this resort are attentive and polite. The rooms are clean and the food the resort serves is tasty. We enjoyed our stay here.

I went to Adama with my family yesterday; we were looking for a place where we could have a clean and decent lunch. Because I had had excellent experiences with Kuriftu branches at Bishoftu and Bahr Dar, I thought we would get the same experience here.

We were denied a spot we chose because we were told it was reserved, but there was no 'reserved' sign. Later, I saw the waiters allow some foreigners to sit there. Then the spot they showed us was close to the toilet and we could not tolerate the smell. So, we went to another table. The waitresses were not happy, but we managed to hold on to the new spot. Then we could not enjoy because there were too much flies. I don't understand how a reputed resort like Kuriftu could allow these much flies. We had been to another place in Adama before coming to Kuriftu and that place did not have flies. So, it cannot be blamed on the season.

The personal hygiene of one of the waitresses was questionable, as she smelled of sweat!

We ordered pizza, catch of the day (fish) and chicken breast. We could not wash our hands properly because there was no water in the toilet and we had to use water from a container. The scene there was horrible. I thought for a moment that I went to a 'Kebele' cafe where you get very cheap food but service was not great. Then the food came. The pizza was less than ordinary; the fish was horrible, as it was drenched in oil and tasteless; the chicken was acceptable, though. We did not enjoy our food because of the flies (my goodness!). One of the waiters brought us a twig to shoo away the flies. There must have been loads of garbage in the compound..Then we paid Br. 500+the service and the food do not deserve even Br. 100.

I would not recommend anyone go there..I'm very disappointed with Kuriftu. I'm not sure if I would go to their other resorts again.Their brand is tarnished in my mind forever!
