Gondar Science Center is a Non-Governmental Organization Implemented by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee(AJJDC) and fully funded by The Gelfand Family Charitable Trust(GFCT).
It has started operating on January 2014.
The center offers free hand-on science learning for primary,secondary and preparatory schools in Gondar,Ethiopia in the following divisions.Electronics, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Mechanics and Optics Labs. In the near future, it will also be able to offer classes on Plant Sciences,Art, Biology and Chemistry with the on-going facilitation of different laboratory centers.
Aside from education, the AJJDC is also connected on implementing livelihood projects around the city and some rural areas of Gondar.
