CURE Ethiopia is a paediatric orthopaedic teaching hospital located in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa. Opened in 2008, the hospital is a state-of-the-art complex that provides modern medical and surgical care to physically disabled children. As Ethiopia consistently ranks among the poorest countries in the world, with few of its citizens having access to medical care, there is a great need for this level of care.
In addition, CURE Ethiopia fills a critical need as an orthopaedic training site in the country, providing didactic and clinical training in paediatric and advanced orthopaedic techniques, and is an international COSECSA-accredited training site.

I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the works and medical service offered by cure hospital at addis ababa. my dad had a hip surgery at cure in 2012 when it was offering its service to all ages back then. He stayed several months at another local hospital with out any meaningful improvement but his stay at cure for few days brought him back to walking thanks to all at cure.
when we came back for followupin 2018 we sadly found out that it was no more open for the elderly for some reason not fair by the regulatory bodies in the country in my opinion.
but thanks again to the kind hearted nurse Tigist and the staff he was able to get the service for free.

Let me express first my deep gratitude and respect I have for all people who were behind the noble CURE initiative in general and those who have spent and currently spending their valuable time in this greatly esteemed hospital.
Many Ethiopian children have benefited a great deal and will continue to do so. Your commitment and good will, will also transpire to many Ethiopians.
However, the reason I was browsing the website today was to file a complaint. I was in the hospital with my daughter from early in the morning and we finally got the chance to be seen by two Ethiopian medical personnel around 11:15 a.m.. After examining her, they kindly advised us to follow with another Ethiopian M.D. who, I believe is stationed there. She was unavailable and we were told to wait as she has stepped out for lunch and will be back soon. I do not want to mention here how long overall we waited there but left finally disappointed without seeing her and my daughter's unable to join at the afternoon school sessions. Despite my request, the nurses were not willing to call the M.D. and check whether she would be coming. I had sometime in between contacted the receptionist at the front desk who contacted the M.D and we were told to wait another 1.5 hr but at the last minute we were again told that she would not be coming. The nurses should be empowered and feel free to contact a personnel on behalf of clients/ patients.
I am deeply sorry to start this with such comment but am doing this out of great appreciation for the work and whole idea of CURE which is more that gracious and noble.
