A relatively dull hotel

They have a good room. The hot showers and the bathrooms works properly which i think is very important. It is an old building with no elevator. It is a walking distance for most of the traditional night clubs/ Azmari bet

I visited Bahir Dar in March 2017. I have stayed in two hotels while in the city. One is Azewa hotel, the other one is Blue Nile Hotel. I would say, while both hotels are great, there is something special about Blue Nile. The hotel is within the walking distance from the lake. While the exterior of the building appears to be contemporary, the interior is that of classic. The rooms are very clean. Washrooms are neat. Dining room and areas around reception too are clean. The food is awesome. Employees at the hotel are very polite, very nice and friendly. Hot water is available 24/7. Wifi reception is great. The only drawback is that the hotel is located in the center of the city. Depending on which side of the hotel your room is, it could be a bit noisy at nights. Make sure not to book a room on the street side. I stayed in a single bed room and paid 400 Birr (about 17 USD). I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to spend some time in Bahir Dar.
