  Fantastic structure, it was the first stop in our visit to Lalibela and its gigantic walls and columns caused a memorable and possitive impression. The light is beautiful in the afternoon, making the stone change colors as the sun changes position.

  The first and largest church on the tour. There is a fantastic 7 kg solid gold cross that is rarely brought out, it was stolen once. There are also the 'graves' of the patriarchs. Abraham, Jacob and Joseph. You can ask about how you can test whether you are with sin or not.

  Stunning - the largest of the 13 and just stunning. You can't haggle the price down for admission but you can haggle the price for a tour guide.

  Amazing what they accomplished in short time. Better than what they described in travel books. Were not harrased by the locals as they would describe it. But expensive to visit.
