  Bata Hotel is a work in progress. It’s in a building that you wouldn’t assume is a hotel, through a ground floor entrance that’s equally un-hotel-like. Get past that and you’ll find a nice little lobby-reception area thing on one of the floors (I can’t remember; also the stairwell lights weren’t working; also the elevator didn’t want to cooperate). That being said, the room was really quite pleasant! The kitchen didn’t quite have the best fit and finish, but generally, everything felt a lot more luxurious than the price would lead you to believe it to be. The breakfast wasn’t bad either and I felt the service was quite alright.
