My husband and I stayed at the Addissinia for almost three weeks and loved it! This was our first trip to Ethiopia and we met some wonderful people. The hotel staff was very kind, gracious, hard-working, and hospitable! We felt like the hotel was very clean and we enjoyed the food. We would definitely stay there again!

Good rooms and OK value for money. Water wasn't hot for showers and phone in the room wasn't working. They also kept asking us to pay cash and not credit card! We put our foot down and they accepted credit card payment

Their steam and Sauna bathes are always my favorite. Neat, clean and very relaxing. Since this hotel is new, their services are not over-crowded.

We traveled to Addis Ababa to adopt our son, and the Addissinia came highly recommended. In the three weeks we have stayed here we have come to feel like it's our home away from home! The staff are unbelievably kind, helpful, hard-working, and professional. And among them, the manager Mr. Yonas stands out! He is always ready to make sure whatever we need is taken care of; he's even driven us around the city a few times when the other drivers were engaged! And speaking of drivers, if you need one, ask for Mr. Yosef. He is the kindest, safest, and best driver you could hope for.
The accommodations are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The WiFi was almost always up (nothing is always on in Addis Ababa!) and quite fast—we managed to stream HBO Go to catch the last episode of GoT). The restaurants have some really good food: I recommend the freshly made tagliatelle with tomato sauce, and don't miss the Addissinia Pizza. With a St. George beer, it makes a great dinner.
And lastly, the rates are very reasonable.
We'll be visiting Addis Ababa again in a few years, and when we do we'll be staying at the Addissinia!response / report this review
